The 2012 American Idol is...

For the fourth straight season, we were not compelled to vote for any of the American Idol contestants.  We were satisfied to record the performance shows and fast forward through most of the stuff and the things to get to the music, then check the results online.

Again, we didn't download any of the studio recordings from any of the contestants.  That's not to say we didn't think they were talented.  On the contrary.  We liked several of the contestants.  We just didn't find any of the recordings to be a must have.

So who joined this list of winners?

Tune in tonight for the first round of regional auditions for Season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance.  And cue LEGSSES...I mean music!

    I missed watching most of the first year of Idol but have watched ever since... but only once they get to the final 12. I hate all the searching and auditioning part!

    I must say I'm having a hard time remembering Lee DeWyze for some reason... even after googling his name from your post. Hmmm.

    I tried voted in the beginning but hated the busy signals and gave up. Then I voted for a few years ( 2 I think, once I could text it in. I think the last year I voted every week was the year of Kris Allen. Loved vote online. I also voted the last few weeks of last year for Scotty... Loved online voting the best. I probably won't ever vote again. I didn't this year, as much as I love Philip!

    I have only bought one CD from an Idol winner, David Cook's. And I am sad to say that I tried to listen to it but hated it.

    I will buy Philip Phillips first CD. I've loved just about everything he's sung since it has always sounded uniquely Philip.

    Now we have to wait for next January. I assume there will be a Season 12. It just keeps getting bigger, doesn't it?

    I haven't watched American Idol in years, but when I did, I enjoyed it. I think I only voted for one person, and to be honest, I can't remember his name. It always amazes me though, that at the end of the show, someone wins a contract and fame. So interesting.
