It's Election Day

Vote.

Vote early.

You cannot vote often - only once!!

Don't let exit polls pursuade you not to vote. Don't let the weather keep you from your civic responsibility. Do not turn away from long lines.

Remember, your workplace is required to give you time to vote. If you are in line before polls close, they must allow you to vote.

Do it. Don't be cynical. Don't disenfranchise yourself.

Vote.

Ok, I'm voting as soon as I get off work. I am a firm believer in excerising my right to vote!

Vote early vote often was the old motto

I do take this responsbility seriously and have never missed voting since I have been old enough.

Because we are having an unusually heavy turnout here AND we have new machines I let my paralegal go an hour early so she could be sure to vote.

The sad thing is--no matter how hard he has tried to get them to understand the importance of it-- the DH's kids probably will not vote. It will be too "inconvenient" for them. I only hope with time and the continued gentle reminders they will come to know how much it means to be a participant in your own destiny

  1. BOND: Catch ya next time.

    DIXIE: You go girl!

TURN: Good for you for helping your paralegal. It's unfortunate that the kids think that exercising their civic duty is inconvenient. I guess we'll just keep making their decisions for them.
