James Brown (1933-2006) passed on Christmas Day. I was not a fan. I appreciated the talent. I stumbled upon some gems I'd like to share. They haven't made me a fan, but they have increased my appreciation.
Diana: I was actually a little surprised by the quality of his voice. That's about all oldies radio ever plays - but the man really could sing.

He's definitely worthy of a tribute or two - maybe not everyone's cup of tea but he was pretty influential musically.
Robin: I enjoyed listening to these because of his vocal ability, which I think might be under-rated by the casual listener.
