Spiderman 3 - May 4. Yeeeeehaaaawwwwwww!!

Pirates of the Carribean At World's Edge - May 25. One can only hope it's not as stupid as the second one. Apologies to anyone who enjoyed the second film, but I'm still a little bitter about the more than three hours of my life I'll never get back.

Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer - June 15. The first film wasn't great, but it didn't suck either. It's super heroes y'all!!!

Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix - July 13. Yes I am a fan. And the cool thing is that the final book, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, comes out this month too!

The Bourne Ultimatum - August 3. Now I'm a big fan of Robert Ludlum and the three books of the Bourne series are first class thrillers on the page. At first I was a little annoyed with the deviations from the books. But then I realized that these films can stand on their own and don't have to follow the books so closely. The basics are there. And these movies rock.

Oh no - Does something happen to Mary Jane? And Peter goes bad?! (Don't worry - I know the story as my brother's a marvel comics geek.)

Pirates: I LOVE Johnny Depp but you are quite right - the last film was a big pile of poo.

Fantastic Four - I'll go but prob not expect too much... Fight looks cool - I'd be terrified if a flame ball swooped past me in a tunnel!

    Harry Potter - I'm not a fan.

p.s. when you lose stuff as often you get used to coping with it....

  1. Maryfly says:

this was great, thanks Trav! I can't wait to see the new Harry Potter! Waitin' on the new book also. hugs!

  1. SGT DUB says:

I might be able to squeeze in Pirates before it leaves the cinema, but all are a must see for me. Strange that Harry Potter is coming out so soon, what will we do for Thanksgiving?

  1. Spidey 3 is being released on my wedding anniversary? Oh my. Well, I guess you know where hubby and I will be that night!

Pirates 3 - well, I guess I'm the only one who "liked" the movie. It did, though, have that genuine feel of a "middle" movie, so I guess that's why I excuse it. I just love Johnny Depp.

Harry Potter - gotta go pre-order my copy of Deathly Hallows. I'm sure we'll be seeing OotP as soon as it comes out; my daughter and I can't wait for this one!

    Can't wait!!!

  1. Maryfly says:

SQUEEEEE! you fort Live Free or Die Hard - John McClane is back! WOOOOOOOO

  1. JohnH985 says:

I can't wait for Spiderman 3 to come out. For me that's been the best superhero to movie done yet. And I just realized that it comes out the day I'll be at JazzFest and the next day I fly to DC. Somehow I have to fit it into my schedule.

Like you I was so so on the last FF movie. It had some good moments but overall left me a big cold. This new one looks a lot better.

I didn't see the last Pirates. I heard too much about it, and that it wasn't that good so I skipped it.

Harry Potter, both movie and book are going to be great.

  1. Turnbaby says:

So you really didn't like the second Pirates huh? Snarf

I love the Bourne series. i just hope they use regular cameras. I had to use seasickness stuff to watch.

  1. Meribah says:

I really enjoy reading Robert Ludlum's books. They tend to suck you in and not let you go until you finish 'em!

  1. Travis says:

TC: You're right about that effects shot with Johnny and Silver Surfer - looks like some good stuff.

Mary: July is THE month for us Harry Potter geeks!

Sarge: I had a similar thought - with the movie and the book crowding each other. But at least it should free up my holidays so I can read Lord of the Rings again.

DS: Oh thanks for the reminder! Gotta get me down to the B&N to order my copy!

    Mary: No shit?????

John: Ditto! Spidey is the best superhero series IMO. These films and the first to X-Men really changed the genre from too much comic book to more serious stuff. I hope FF takes the lesson this time.

Turn: Snarf!! I know what you mean about those actions shots in the Bourne flicks. Tough to watch sometimes - but Matt Damon is a real action here - better than the Cruise.

    Meri: Yeppers.

    DS: Yikes!! Now what??

  1. Anndi says:

Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy....
