  1. Julie says:

Yup I splurged and bought Jeff B of B...he loves it!

  1. Schmoop says:

Loved the Musketeer movies you mentioned. Oliver Reed was great albeit drunk. And another soused actor, Robert Shaw was fantastic in Jaws. Cheers Trav.

  1. Some great ones here. I love The Shootist, but I'm not sure if it's my favorite over True Grit. Happy last TT--I hope you'll still keep in touch even if the meme dies!

  1. Very cool list. I love Dogma. It is a great movie.

  1. Piacere says:

Dogma's a fav with me, too. The best man in our wedding played the executive who got blown away in the board room...nice, huh???

    Great list, Trav!!

  1. Great list of movies.
Although I might have excluded the newest trio of Star Wars films, but that's just me.
As for the demise of TT, well, I am pretty sure it's gonna live on in us bloggers. I mean, just because the official site is gone, doesn't mean we can't play along, right?

  1. TopChamp says:

It's good to see your film tastes - helps see where we meet (lord f the rings) and where we clash (terminator)! Looking forward to Friday's revelations... (or whenever/if-ever you play).

  1. JAM says:

Loved Terminator, the early Star Wars movies, Lord of the Rings. I might be the only person who hasn't seen Band of Brothers.

The Musketeers movies caught me off guard. I had a major childhood crush on Raquel Welch and saw these in the theatre. Good call.

I haven't seen King Arthur. I love that kind of movie, I'm not sure how I missed it.

Cool list Travis. I don't go to the theater much, but I do love sitting down and watching a good movie.

  1. I've seen most of those, and may check out the others on your recommendation. King Arthur was one of the first movies I watched once I got my surround sound set up so I have good memories of horses galloping around the room and such :-)

I still like "Empire" best of all the Star Wars movies but I have really enjoyed watching them all with my daughter.

My list would have to include old musicals like The King and I, The Sound of Music and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but is eclectic enough to include many things from Monty Python's Holy Grail to Memento to ... well, all sorts of things.

  1. I have only seen Hoosiers out of the entire list. *hangs head in shame* I do want to see Band of Brothers... that is on my "To Do List"...

    SMOOCHES!

  1. Bee: I'm floored by this DVD every time I watch it. Ordinary men doing extraordinary things because they must.

    Julie: A fine investment.

Matt: Those movies are flat out fun.

Joely: True Grit is a favorite of mine, but there's something in the finality of The Shootist that draws me to it.

John: Yup - I laugh myself silly with that one.

    Pia: Nice!

Mo: Somehow I can't start watching one without watching all six! And of course we can continue to play!

TC: I'll play - it just may take me a day or two.

Jam: Band of Brothers is a must my friend.

Jeff: That's the problem with lists - some stuff gets left off!

  1. GREAT List TRAV!

Not a Lord of the Rings fan...would like to see them all in a row someday though.

LOVE Ronin, The Three Musketeers (first better), Long Riders (WOO) and the Shootist.

  1. Neila says:

Dogma is one of my favorites! I am a HUGE Kevin Smith fan!!

  1. Liz Hill says:

Fabulous list---I bought the DH Band of Brothers for xmas last year. He watches it sort of obsessively.

    I love Dogma--oh my

    The Musketeers movies --so fun

Loves the original Star Wars--have seen it a zillion times--it was playing at the cinema when I got my first job working there
