Captain America, 1941-2007

So here's the thing. . .I have thoughts and I'm sharing them. Welcome to my place.
I saw on the news that he had been shot down on the court house steps....but didn't hear the details
This pissed me off when I first heard about it and I can only hope it is a typical hype and not something so terrible.
I had a problem with the Civil Wars when Marvel first started it. I remember thinking, "They need to be careful. They might do something stupid."
Ah Cap. Who can forget when they found you in ice and brought you back to New York to lead the Avengers.
Here's to you, Cap. Here's to you.
According to my comic book geek brother, superheros never die. They "die" and then come back stronger. Kind of like Jason or Freddy.
I was all set to write a post about this when I was reading somewhere else that Cap really wasn't dead but hidden away somewhere. But than I read that wasn't true. So who knows? I still might write a post about his death and the series that lead up to it.
Cap is more than just a superhero comic. He stood for more in his comic than just a fight. He stood for what was right with this country.
Wow, can't wait to find out the rest of this story for sure!
I guess I'm just confused as to why someone would kill off a character.
Make him go away or be captured...but to kill a superhero? That's just wrong...
I have heard a lot of hype about the sybolism behind this act. Let me tell you it gets me fired up. I also heard that they come back too, let's hope there is more symbolism to be had here.
I read that...now if I could just figure out who Captain America was...
