Baby has a place to work now

Such a simple thing really...just a place to be comfortable and get some stuff done.

But the area had become a catch all during the 6-8 weeks of hell days at work and I just didn't have the energy to square it away.

I just needed the proper incentive. And when Pam stays at the office until 10pm, that's incentive enough. She works in international finance, and she sometimes has late conference calls and online meetings with overseas clients. But when she's just staying at the office to do emails or work on projects, it's time to do something about giving her the comfortable area to work that I promised when I bought this condo.

Before you remind me that I didn't clear underneath the table, Pam already said that we should leave the music there. All of that will eventually make it's way into the office. But that's a HUGE project that we hope to have finished by the end of the year. We're working on that one together.

What do you think of the library?

Ooops! The rug has a kink in it. Carpet wrinkles aside, we've really been enjoying having the books out. The problem now is that these are just mine. Pam still has hers at her condo - at least two book cases full! Yikes! She's still deciding whether to rent her place. Integrating his and hers into ours is tough y'all.

It's nice to have this done.

Awww, nice and neat! Feels good, doesn't it? Good job. :)

  1. If you both own your condos, how about selling his and hers and buying an ours?

    I love a super-neat, pared-down work space. Looks good.

  1. Meri: It does. And I can't wait for her to see!

Jamie: Well, we did think about that. But we're both happy with the situation as it is today.

Rhea: Just the basics...that's all that should be required.

  1. How quick could you be here? I've got plenty of things for you to do :-)

  1. Very neat. Like the desk area and the bookcases.

  1. nice Travis...it looks like a great place for her to work..and I am sure she will be more comfortable there than at the office!

looks great Travis! a well spent day off.

  1. Great book shelves. I love these kind of pictures, although maybe that illustrates my basic geekiness. I should take such pics myself of my house. We have books in every room except... Uhm, no, we have books there too.

  1. Great job - a perfect place to work! And the library looks very inviting :)

Fantastic job! I would love to spend some time in your library; it sure looks cozy and lots and lots of books are always good!

  1. Julie: Thanks! She likes it.

    Robin: It's definitely worth it.

    Turn: I got the message.

    Bee: Thank you my dear.

Kyra: LOL! I've still got plenty to do around here.

    John: It's quite cozy.

    Katherine: That's the idea.

  1. Pauline: She's liking it. And so am I.

Lisa: It's the second "done" room we have now.

Charles: LOL! So far we've been able to confine the books to the library. But since it's now full, we'll probably start spilling over.

TJ: So far so good. She can even lean back a little and see the TV.

    CWM: Thanks!

Linda: And now we have a place to bring projects out of the office and get them squared away.
