Words on Wednesday

I don't know what to write today. Some random words come to mind.

Anger.

Radical.

Hatred.

I don't like those words.

Sadness.

Sorrow.

Grief.

Those words fit. They seem appropriate.

Hope.

Healing.

Peace.

Let me have my moment of idealism. It's a small thing really. It won't cost you anything. But it helps me find my perspective. I need that more than anything on the day after.

What a wonderfully reflective post. No doubt we were all feeling these very things six years ago, too.

Today was an absolutely beautiful day here in New England - moderate temperatures, beautiful blue skies, no humidity. It was a day just like 9/11/2001 and whenever we get a day like that in September anymore I can't help but reflect on the tragedy that occurred on an identical day six years ago.

We refer to days like today as having a "9/11 sky". It's a sad reminder of a horribly sad event but as long as we have days like this, I know we'll never ever forget no matter if it's 60 years later rather than 6.

Have hope, my friend, that the world has learned from such a tragedy; seek healing in whatever way you find works; and may peace come to you through family, friends, and the love that surrounds you.

  1. Kyra: Thanks. Just need to take some of the sharpness out of the images.

Julie: I'll take some of those.

Linda: I think the learning curve is still a little steep for some.

    CWM: That's the word.
