A little more than yesterday
Posted: Wednesday, December 05, 2007 by Travis Cody inYesterday I had what can only be described as "a day". I won't bore you with the details because they aren't important.
Well, that's not true. I'm not going into details because it isn't appropriate or necessary to do so.
What is important is the tremendous support I received from a special group of people. Y'all know who you are and you may have your choice of hugs, gropes, licks, kisses, high fives, fist bumps, or chest thumps. Hell, treat it like a buffet of affection and make your own combinations.
I've been saving up some awards, and this is a good time to bask in the glow of some blog honors. I hope I haven't missed anyone. If I did, it is completely unintentional.
Sandee from Comedy Plus makes me laugh. And Dixie from Dixie's Heart and Soul makes me proud. Both of these wonderful ladies gave me this nifty badge last month.
Does anyone know why the guy in the Sweet Treat badge is wearing a diaper? It's a what? OH! He's a candy corn guy! I get it...a treat that's sweet. The ever royal Mimi from Mimi Writes gave me this one.
Dear Sandee and my new friend Misty Dawn from My Dogs Keep Me Sane gave me this one with the kitties.
Linda from Are We There Yet said some very nice things about me yesterday.
Travis writes some of the most detailed and well-written posts that I have seen anywhere in the Blogosphere. I am always impressed and awed when I stop by his blog - plus he leaves some damn fine comments, too! Even though it isn't a requirement of this award, he is a man with a romantic streak who isn't afraid to show it and that speaks volumes because it means he writes from his heart and I applaud that, I really do.
And then she gave me this way cool badge.
I'm terrible about passing these kinds of things on. I enjoy so many different blogs from so many different types of bloggers. Sandee has a great idea...sometimes she passes the badges on to everyone in her blog roll.
Inclusive. Community. Friends. Compliments.
I needed some of that last night.
Chin up ol' boy, and I hope today is better. Cheers!!
