Hi ho, hi ho...it's back to work I go

Yup. Back to work for me today. Dangit.

At least I didn't start to get tense last night. I'm walking right into month end inventory reconciliation at 7am, after being away from the office for two weeks.

But the two weeks off was just what I needed.

Plus, we get the houseguests on Friday for two whole months! YAY!

All things considered, I'm looking forward to getting back into the steady routine of getting up and getting coffee and settling in at the office.

What?

No really, I am.

Stop laughing!

I hope your 2008 is off to a rip-roaring good start.

  1. Wow! Two months with the fur baby siblings? That must be some trip the parents are taking.

Hubby went back to work today after 11 days home; hence, the reason I am awake at 5:10 a.m.

    *sigh*

At least the kids don't go back to school until Monday.

I remember when I worked in the corporate world taking the holidays off and then returning to month-end and year-end closing (I worked in financial planning and reporting). Nights and weekends were the norm.

Well, gotta go earn some more vacation time.

    Happy New Year.

I'm not back at work until Monday - that's soon enough for me! ;)

  1. I hate returning to normalcy after the holidays.... sniff.

  1. I've got a few more days but have started doing some stuff from home, like making up syllabi and so on. I'm not really looking forward to it, but not dreading the return.

I could stay home another week and that still would not be enough.

I'm glad you enjoyed your two weeks off. I so remember needing to get away from the office. Now everyday is Saturday or Sunday. Retirement is good. Have a great day Travis. :)

A two week vacation would be bliss but going back afterwards would be tough, tough, tough!

There is some comfort in routine, though - especially if it involves good coffee!

Going back to work... without coffee *sigh* - unbelievable, but true - the coffee auntie was running out of coffee today. Hope your day started way better *LOL*

  1. Songbird: The folks are doing the snowbird thing...visiting friends in southern Arizona and then over to soCal to see grandkids.

    Matt: It was busy.

Drilleraa: Now that's a good way to look at it...earning more vacation time.

Sarge: You are so retired. I'm still inching toward it.

Lois: It sure didn't take long this morning.

Akelamalu: When my alarm went off this morning, I wondered why I hadn't taken the rest of this week off too.

Kyra: I think I'll just start planning my next vacation now.

Charles: At least I had enough time off this time to really relax. Usually I only take a week, and that's not enough time to decompress at all.

Turn: One of these days we'll walk out the office door and walk into our retirement.

Sandee: Yup...that's the "R" word I'm looking forward to.

Lisa: We're getting excited to have those guys again.

Linda: I did have good coffee this morning...and a chocolate donut!

Bee: It should be a fun couple of months.

Sanni: No coffee??? That's totally unacceptable!

  1. so which one of the dwarfs are you??

I don't think they have one named "Dancey"

  1. Loved Katherine's comment...She's such a funny girl.
I remember loving to be away from the office but dreading to go back due to the pile-up of work I knew was waiting. Ick.
Now, if my computer will behave, I'm off and running!
    ~~~Blessings~~~
