New York vs Dallas

The Giants take advantage of a Dallas penalty and strong from Brandon Jacobs to get off to a good start. And then Eli Manning throws a short pass that Amani Toomer turns into a 52 yard TD run. NY goes up early 7-0.

Dallas gets nothing on it's first possession and punts.

The Giants look really strong, running the ball with Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. It's a combination of power with Jacobs and speed with Bradshaw. But the Giants won't chance going for it on 4th and 1. The punt is downed inside the 5 yard line.

Marion Barber breaks off a big 36 yard run to get Dallas across midfield before he gets dragged down from behind. Dallas follows up with a pass and another run, both for first downs. Now the Cowboys are rolling.

And Dallas opens the 2nd quarter with a short TD pass to tie the score at 7-7. The Giants are going to challenge whether the receiver got both feet in bounds with possession. Replay looks like it's a good play and the refs confirm.

I haven't been able to pay close attention to this game. Having 3 cats in the house has distracted me some this afternoon. They want to go out on the balcony, but they want us to leave the door open. So we leave the door open and they all come inside. So we close the door and they want to go out again.

I can tell you that the score is tied 14-14 at the half.

The game came down to a 4th and 11 for the Cowboys and the Giant's intercepted the pass in the endzone.

So NY wins and that makes me 4-4 for my playoff picks.

The Giants will go to Green Bay for the NFC Championship game next week.

I know I won't score any points with Turnbaby if she comes by to comment, but It was so nice to watch Dallas lose...I mean watch NY win.

Great recaps of the games today.

  1. V: I may pick them to win in GB this weekend. They are definitely playing well. Of course, as soon as I get on board Eli will have one of "those" games. LOL.

Jeff: Well, at least Turn can enjoy watching Favre next weekend.
