Hmmmmm.

I saw this over at Ian's new place, The Popcorn Principle.

The Five Love Languages

My primary love language is probably
Quality Time
with a secondary love language being
Physical Touch.

Complete set of results

Quality Time: 11
Physical Touch: 10
Words of Affirmation: 5
Acts of Service: 3
Receiving Gifts: 1

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

Happy leap day! Here's a little Chris Montez, just because I can.

I love Double Stuff Oreos. Or a good Chips-A-Hoy chocolate chip cookie. How about Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Sandwich cookie? Oh...the Circus Animal cookies! You know! The pink and white ones.

I like lots of different kinds of cookies. But at this time of year, there is really only one cookie that will do. It's an evil thing. An irresistible evil thing perpetrated on the good people of this country by a seemingly wholesome organization.

You know...

Yeah, I know I'm all over the place today.

  1. Liz Hill says:

  1. DrillerAA says:

Double Stuff Oreos, Chips Ahoy, Girl Scout Mint Choclate cookies...man how did you know those were my favorites?

And yes, Dr. Chapman's book is a very good read for married couples.

    Have a great week-end.

  1. Schmoop says:

I was a Quality Time/Acts of Service kind of guy. Cheers Trav!!

  1. I'm all over the place today too-it must be b/c it's the extra day.

  1. Sandee says:

Just tell Pam where you want to be touched. Bwahahahahaha. You made me laugh out loud.

I so love Girl Scout cookies too and the thin mints will do just fine.

Love the tune. Haven't heard that one in years.

Have a great day and weekend Travis. :)

We love al of the same cookies except for the thin mints. Oh, and I love a good snickerdoodle!

  1. Touch time is important to me. But so is emotional support, having someone to vent a bit too and knowing they have my back.

  1. Linda says:

I took this and got a 12 in Physical Touch. I'm not really surprised considering a man hasn't touched me in a special way in over five years unless you count occasional hugs from co-workers which I don't think qualify! I am obviously "touch starved"!!

I got a 7 in Quality Time so that's my secondary. Haven't had any of that either now that I think about it!

  1. double stuff oreos, choclate chip and girl scout mint choclate cookies Yum Yum,what could be better than that.Oh maybe dipped in batter and deep fryed.

  1. Meribah says:

Wooo! Girl Guide cookies! I luv those! Unfortunately, the price has sky-rocketed since I was in Girl Guides myself. Bummer.

Anyway, lemme reach out and touch you. **Glomptackles Trav ands gives him a lick** Oooo! You taste just like cookies! :P

  1. I spend $34 on Girl Scout cookies last week... oh the sinfulness of Girl Scout cookies.. ;-)

    SMOOCHES~

  1. yeah they are almost as good as cake!

    smiles, bee

  1. TopChamp says:

American cookies are very different to ours!

I don't like the love quiz coz touch-feely emotional love stuff freaks me out. There's a lot of weird jargon in that blurb too. It's the sort of thing they take the mickey out of in comedy shows.

  1. Unknown says:

In England, turning Girl Scouts into cookies is frowned upon.
Making barber shop customers into pies is however acceptable.

  1. Jeff B says:

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to put some extra cash in by blue jeans next time I go to the store. I'm a sucker for the cookies.

  1. Turn: You are welcome!

    Drilleraa: Lucky guess!

    Matt: It takes all kinds.

Mags: Feb 29 was a very odd day for me.

Sanni: Sounds like a good few minutes!

Sandee: Are you being a little naughty? LOL!

    Kyra: Snickerdoodles!

Charles: Yes, the support is important as well.

    Linda: Awwwwww. Hugs!

    Mike: It's all good stuff!

  1. Meri: Glommed by the puppy!

    Dix: We spent $24...so far!

    Bee: Almost!

TC: I didn't like the way some of the questions were worded, but it was still interesting.

    Pauline: Bwahahahahahahahaha

Jeff: I can hardly resist. I hope they aren't at the grocery when we go today.

  1. Akelamalu says:

Never heard or seen the sweet evil things but go on, pass us one over I'll give it a try! :)

  1. Travis, love all those cookies! The Girl Scout ones - chocolate mint, the best! Happy weekend!

  1. First sign of spring isn't a crocus or a rosebud ... it's a girl scout table at Safeway.

  1. My favorite all-time cookie. Where ARE those girl scouts when I need them?

  1. Julie says:

Oh cookies! **wipes drool** I'll do this quiz later...Gary Chapman is a great read on love/relationship type stuff. I ran into him on the radio yesterday..what a coincidence!

  1. Akelamalu: If you try it, you'll be hooked.

Teach: We have ours in the freezer. They taste great frozen!

    Jamie: That's the truth.

Mimi: Small favors...if you haven't seen them then you can't be tempted.

Julie: I've actually never heard of Mr Chapman.

  1. Anonymous says:

You had to mention the cookies. I almost forgot about the cookies. Now it's all about the cookies!

I took the quiz and posted my results. Interesting!

  1. Unknown says:

    I like the Thanks-A-Lots!

And gee, thanks for reminding me I don't have anyone...wah! :P

Oh How We Love Girl Scout Cookies Too!!! Hubby loves the Thin Mints the best...me, I love the Shortbread or Lemon ones with a nice hot cup of tea...oh such a relaxing treat at the end of a long day.

    As far as the Quiz:

    Here are my results...

*My Primary Love Language is Physical Touch...10
    *Quality Time...9
    *Acts of Service...5
    *Words of Affirmation...4
    *Gifts...2

Actually, I am not a "Gift Person", I am a "Card Person", I LOVE Cards!!! The problem is...when someone surprises you with a gift, how can that not make you feel happy! Thus, I got a 1 for that...And secondly, any woman would love a handmade gift from their significant other, I think so anyway. Didn't want anyone to think I am a diamond and Pearls kinda girl! Tee Hee Hee!
