Lana from The Dreaming Tree tagged me for the Random/Weird Things meme.

THE RULES:
1. Once you are tagged, link back to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Post 7 weird or random facts about yourself on your blog.
4. Tag 7 people and link to them.
5. Comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged.

Thing 1: I have every completed NCAA Basketball Tournament bracket, with scores, going back to 1980.

Thing 2: With all the various and sundry electronic devices one can use to keep daily tasks and appointments organized, I still use a paper day planner to track key shipping dates at work.

Thing 3: When I was a freshman in high school, I helped our JV team win a challenge against the Varsity during homecoming week. I held a pull up for over five minutes against a senior who couldn't hang much longer than four minutes.

Thing 4: Last week I paid over $100 for a vintage toy from my childhood, and I'd do it again.

Thing 5: I have hazel colored eyes in the spring and fall. In the summer they shade more to green and in the winter they shade more to brown.

Thing 6: I like chocolate-dipped, custard-filled donuts.

Thing 7: Contrary to current popular men's fashion, I do not believe that different patterned fabrics go together. If you want me to wear a pin-striped suit, then you'll have to get me a solid colored shirt and tie. I'll wear a pink shirt, but don't ask me to wear a checkered shirt with a striped tie or sport coat.

Thanks Lana!

We share a love for the same kind of donuts.
However I will wear a patterned shirt with a sport coat as long as I can eliminate the tie. I do agree, striped ties and plaid shirts have never been a good idea.

Thing 7 - at last a man who knows how to dress!!! :)

    Ah, donuts ...

Thank goodness you are going against popular convention when it comes to men's fashions! I'm not sure who the ijit was that decided that missing patterns was a good idea but I think it looks horrible.

Oh, and congrats on that five-minute pull-up, that is totally awesome!

  1. My husband says I am boring, because my favorite donut is the good ol' glazed.

I totally agree with your style tips in #7!

Congrats on the pull-up. I was a jock in school, and my favorite memory from sports is when I made a four point shot in basketball to tie up the game for us (was fouled during a 3-pointer). My 3-point percentage was always as good, if not better than my 2 (go figure).

  1. Drilleraa: I do like a patterned shirt, but not generally with a sport coat. I figure if I'm gonna wear a pattern, then I want to show it off.

Akelamalu: I knows what I likes!

Linda: I don't mind one patterm, but not several mixed up together.

  1. Now I'm dying to know what that Vintage toy was.

How entertaining your answers are. I learned a lot about you. I love your last point and I'm with you. Stripes, and other patterns thrown in drive me crazy too. They just don't go together. I think pink shirts on men are HOT. Just saying. You and Pam have a great Sunday. :)

  1. DrillerAA says:

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the sport coat must be solid navy.

  1. Misty: Wasn't it great to be so fit? I keep myself in decent shape, but it's getting harder every year as the chronic pain gets worse.

Charles: It's the Fort Apache. I'll post photographs as soon as it gets here. I'm waiting rather impatiently for the package.

Sandee: I haven't always liked a pink shirt, but Pam has shown me how to wear them well. It's all in the shade.

Drilleraa: Now that I'll agree with.
