Bracket Busted Sunday
Posted: Sunday, March 23, 2008 by Travis Cody inWelcome to another day of the NCAA Tournament.
I bow to anyone who picked the right two 12 seeds and the right two 13 seeds to advance to today's action. Anyone who thought 12 Villanova (beat 5 Clemson), 13 Siena (beat 4 Vanderbilt), 12 Western Kentucky (beat 5 Drake), and 13 San Diego (beat 4 UConn) would all advance was paying more attention during the season than I was.
Or they just got lucky to pick those upsets.
Regardless, 12 and 13 seeds have advanced to play each other five times over the years and a 13 has advanced to the Sweet 16. And since my bracket is basically busted, this should be fun.
Right now shots aren't falling for Siena and Villanova is taking advantage, jumping out to a double digit lead. Siena needs to settle down and try to get some drives going to the hoop, stop settling for the outside jumper, and step up the intensity on defense.
Well, Siena evidently shot everything it had to upset Vanderbilt on Friday. Villanova is all over them. Even with about 15 minutes still to play in the second half, it just doesn't look like Siena has anything left.
I hope the other 12-13 match up is more fun.
Later babies!
Go on I give in what's this about? It's some sort of sport right? :)
