Encores from Lady's Night and a touch of Spring

Spring has sprung
The grass has ris
I wonder where
The birdies is!
....Bulwinkle J Moose

HA! Last year I posted the same little ditty by Mr Moose. I think I'll make it my spring tradition. Of course, this little poem isn't original to our dear Bullwinkle. Nope. But I can't tell you who wrote it. I searched last year and I searched this year. No luck. So I'll credit Mr Moose because I first heard it in a Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon.

On that same post, which was a Manic Monday, I published a poem I wrote for spring called As I Walked. You can read it here, if you wish.

So Happy Spring y'all!

Now, I have some encores from Tuesday's Dancing with the Stars. It was Lady's night as you may recall.

Did anyone who follows figure skating doubt that Kristi Yamaguchi would be this good at an elegant dance like Foxtrot? We'll see if she handles the Latin dances as well, but she surely must be considered the early front runner after this performance with partner Mark Ballas.

I say welcome back to pro Louis van Amstel. He may be a diva male dancer, but he is a wonderful choreographer and the perfect partner for Priscilla Presley. This Foxtrot was classy and elegant. I had no idea what to expect from Ms Priscilla, but this was a pleasant surprise.

Marlee Matlin is an Oscar winning actor. With partner Fabian Sanchez, she danced an engaging and rhythmic Cha Cha Cha that was cheeky and fun just like the dance should be. The cues Fabian used to help her through the dance were subtle and ended up looking like part of the routine.

Pam and I really enjoyed the first two nights, and we're looking forward to Monday night.

Oh...let me just randomly throw in a clip from our favorite guy from the show that shall not be named. This is Daytripper from David Cook during week 2.

Happy Spring to you too Travis. Have a wonderful day and Easter weekend. :)

  1. Kristi's years of professional skating has given her the opportunity to use different kinds of music for a myriad of programs. I think she'll handle the different genres of dance very well.

Marlee is amazing. I'm so in awe of her courage and "take a chance" attitude.

  1. Turn: We had a pretty nice spring day out here, although it was still a bit chilly.

Matt: The trees are still kinda bare.

Here is my poem, told to me by my Nanny:

    Spring has Sprung
    Fall has Fell
    Summer is Here
    And it's Hotter
    Than Hell.

Your is better - could actually share it with the kiddos!

    Terra: No spring?

Lisa: I should probably start calling it by its name again, but I still get a little miffed about the way Taylor Hicks has been dissed by the show. But I am enjoying the kids on this season.

    Dana: Good!

    Teach: Thank you my dear!

The way I look at it, you can't go wrong quoting Bullwinkle J. Moose no matter the occasion! I just wish that Spring would actually spring out here in the Northeast!
