Tough Tuesday

Today I should finally be able to finish my inventory reconciliations for fiscal year end. I've been waiting for three days for the last bit of data from one of my warehouses. At last I got it at lunch time yesterday.

Now I just have to find a $7k error and I'll be done.

EDIT at 16:45 - Life is good. I didn't find all of the $7k, but I found enough of it. We decided to let the balance ride because it was less than 1% of total inventory, making it immaterial. So I am officially finished with year end inventory. Can I get a big WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?????

Good luck, I remember watching mom trying to find small errors in the books she kept as part of her job.

Let's hope you find it soon.

  1. Lol. Great cat pictures, especially that last one.

  1. Ugh. This brought back scenes of terror from my days in Honeywell's Financial Planning and Reporting department.

    *runs fleeing, screaming*

I hope you find the error soon Travis. Inventory is just such an ugly word. Necessary, but ugly. Big hug. :)

You know you have a crew of Hoochies that are quite experienced in counting toys ;-)

Big errors are easier to find than small ones! Good luck with it.

Holy Cats Batman!!! A 7K error? Good Luck Travis, hopefully it will balance out for you soon. Keep digging.

I love the kitten in the first picture. What a beauty! Kittens are such a weakness for me!

I like the saying in the second picture also. And, fo course the kitten too! From a little girl my Mother would always tell me that I needed to stop trying to "Save The World". My answer was always the same...."Why?" I guess I will always be just like that little kitten at the computer. It is just something I have in my heart that just won't change.

With the Faith as small as a Mustard Seed...anything is possible"

Even finding that 7k error! ;-)

    Kimmie

  1. If cats ruled the world, it would probably be a better place.

    good luck!

I read somewhere that Mr T doesn't like catnip? Maybe he likes finance more - so if you get desperate you could try Bee's suggestion.

    $7? I can find that...

What? $7K? Um, nope, can't help with that.

  1. And I have heard the word, that the world is safe once again..

    Nicely done my friend

  1. Ann: I would have preferred to tie out to the penny, but with this inventory it just isn't possible.

    Matt: So much pressure!

    Bee: Now there's an idea!

Charles: I love the kitty pics.

    Songbird: Sorry!

Sandee: I was able to make my case about simplifying how we classify inventory...so that's a good thing.

Turn: LOL! Yes you certainly are.

Akelamalu: That's true. Too bad this one was a combination of several!

Kimmie: Someone has to save the world, right?? Might as well be us!

    Lana: Cats rock!

TC: He doesn't like catnip...he's odd that way.

Dana: Luckily I found most of it.

V: Yeppers! I'm an inventory superhero!

  1. Good reason to celebrate. This is one of Leonard Cohen's fun songs (as long as you don't listen too closely to the lyrics. He likes to make you think)

    Wooooohoooooo!

  1. I just went through inventory earlier this month. Instead of just getting to do it at the store I work at I got to travel to all the stores in the district as part of a point team in doing a new inventory. Such fun.

  1. Jeff B says:

I do not miss inventories one little bit.

Glad to hear you made it through.

  1. j says:

Wow, and I get upset if the twenty that I thought was in my purse is gone. Thanks for the perspective! Jennifer

  1. Kimmie says:

You are so right Travis! It might as well be us!

I am guilty of being told I look at the World through "ROSE" colored glasses! LOL!!

I say..."Whats wrong with the color ROSE?" I happen to love that color...but I love "Lavender" even more! Wish there was a saying that used that color too! Winks!

One more point...who in their right mind wants to look at the world through sh*t brown colored glasses???? Now that would be depressing!!!

    Smiles,
    Kimmie

  1. Hoooooooooooo Rahhhhhhhhhhh! Way to go Travis!

  1. Jamie: Thanks for the link!

    Steven: I know!

John: I didn't even get to go out and count...just got to run reports and try to balance somebody else's counts.

Jeff: 12 times a year for me.

Jennifer: A lost $20 would be tough to deal with.

Kimmie: Indeed my dear! And thanks for the Wooooo!

    Misty: Thank ya Ma'am!
