Lois' Morning Mug Meme

I saw this one over at Lowdown from Lois a little while ago. The rules are pretty simple:

Most folks drink some sort of a morning beverage, be it coffee or tea, and most likely from a mug. Please share a photo of your favorite mug(s) and tell a story about how it became your favorite. Include what you drink with this mug.

But here's the funny thing...although I do enjoy a good cup of coffee, I'm not really a special coffee mug kind of guy.

We don't make pots of coffee. I have a Senseo machine that allows us to make one cup at a time.



The perfect mugs to use with this machine are the ones that came with my dishes. Plus, these mugs are attractive and Pam loves them. So generally these are what we use.



I do have a couple of coffee mugs that I've collected over the years. These are the ones I'll take to work in the winter when my coffee consumption increases.



I've had the Raider mug for awhile. Pam bought me the Wolf mug.

As you know I tend not to tag. So if you haven't done this one yet, steal or borrow!



Well, it's dueling Davids on the season finale of American Idol next week. Syesha Mercado came up short, so the season 7 winner will be either David Cook or David Archuletta.



My Lakers bounced back tonight at home, beating the Jazz to take a 3 games to 2 lead in the best of seven series. Game 6 will be Friday in Utah. Every game gets tougher and tougher. The Lakers struggled to finally put the Jazz away, and Utah had so many opportunities to take control and steal the win. They just couldn't get it done on the road. I fully expect Utah to force Game 7 back in Los Angeles on Monday.

And yes...to any Utah Jazz fans who may visit today, I did see what looked an awful lot like two pushing fouls that were not called on Pau Gasol in the final minute and a half.

    Well, thank you for the AI news of the two finalists. I sat down around 7ish, and the lights went out on me. :( I kinda figured it would come down to the two Davids. Lets keep our fingers crossed that DC wins. Hands down he is the best, but those young girls vote over and over. I know he is already a winner in reality, I just think he deserves all the pop and dance at the finale. He is the better singer of the two by a long run. The little David will be really awesome in time, I just think he still has a little developing and maturing to do yet.

    Thats my opinion and I'm stickin' to it! LOL! ;-)

    My beverage -every morning and throughout the day - is good old coffee, with some flavored creamer, usually Hazelnut. Mugs though, I have oodles of mugs and don't usually use the same one all the time but, if I were to select one in particular as a favorite, it would be one that is fashioned more like a fancy cup -not thick as most mugs are -and it says "Mother" on it along with a pretty little poem. My son got it for me about 22-23 years ago now when he went to Florida and spent three weeks there with his Godparents. My kids know I love cups and mugs though so often they get me a new one for birthday or Christmas -a much appreciated gift, I might add.

    Like you, I don't have a special mug. I have had in the past, but as soon as I like them, they seem to get smashed :-)

    The mug idea is cute, but no matter what I do, I can't find a fav mug. I don't know why that is. I guess I need change, so we have a cupboard full of different ones, some that are newer than the others and still no fav.

    Why am I not suprised about that Wolf mug. I'm suprised that you don't have a Laker's mug somewhere.
    Since we're moving our office shortly, some of my favorite mugs are already packed, but I'll try to do something with this a little later.

    I drink water in the early morning, and coke in the later morning, usually just out of the can. I wish I had some taste but I completely lack it.

    We have numerous mugs at home but I just have one at work that I bring home occasionally to put through the dishwasher.

    Now, why am I not surprised to see a wolf mug in your collection? LOL I'm a creature of habit and have a fav mug, although it's nothing special to look at. It's just a nice big one, cuz I like my big cups of tea (or coffee, on occasion). :)

    I do not drink coffe or tea, so no mugs...but darlin' Nancy has one of those Senseo machines and I now operate it for her when over there in the morning...

    I like the mug with the picture of you two on it...smile.

    I'm a cup and saucer kinda gal cause I carry it around and then it doesn't slosh on the floor.

    I've been wanting to do this meme, but keep forgetting about it. Besides, I collect coffee mugs and tea cups, so if I completed this meme, it would probably be too excessive.

    Ummmm Trav, I hate to point this out, but you made a typo - it should read: David Cook will be the next American Idol. *grin*

    Awwww a wolf mug! How fun! Now seeing your stove top prompts a question. I know not much cooking goes on over there (at least not food prep cooking) but do you like the stove top you have?
