Random annoyances

I had a bunch of stuff rolling around in my head. And since I don't want to dwell on negative crap, I figured I'd subject y'all to it instead.

Bwahahahahahahahahahaaaaa!

Sorry about that! Do any of these things bug y'all?

People in vehicles who miss their turn, or find themselves in the wrong lane for a turn, and slow down so they can change lanes without any regard to the traffic behind them that has no idea what the hell they are trying to do.

People who walk into your office and immediately start talking to you, with no regard for whether you're in the middle of composing an email or focusing on some other problem you're trying to solve.

People who are late for meetings, and then don't apologize for it.

People who don't clearly explain what it is they want, and then bitch when they get my interpretation of what they asked for.

People who make it clear that they think what they are doing is more important that what I'm doing.

People who take credit for the team's success and don't share the accolades with the team.

People who don't say please, thank you, and you're welcome.

People who don't wash up after themselves in a communal office kitchen.

People who answer the question that was asked with a litany of excuses as to why they weren't able to do what was asked.

Well! I certainly feel better getting all that out. Don't you?

Now let's have my favorite song of all time...

    You work with monkeys too!

I hate when people (read monkeys) come and have a meeting in the conference room near my office, drink coffee and then leave their dirty cups in the sink so the cup washing fairy will clean them.

That is SUCH a Travis song!

    *hugs*

I'm taking a wild guess here... did you have a bad day at the office yesterday, Travis?

I quit the corporate world 22 years ago and started my own business. I sold the first one 2 years ago. I started a new one last year. I have the best boss ever!! =)

  1. Julie says:

Very, very good! I agree with all of these! Ummmm especially that song! Wooooo! Great pick!

  1. Schmoop says:

I am incredibly easy going, but I don't like it when people are late, and I don't like it when I am late. Cheers Travis!!

  1. Marsha says:

I'm with Will....did you have a bad day at work?? In need of a serious vacation?? Just don't go postal on us ok! Take the approach that all your co-workers are idiots and you are the only intelligent one in the building...you'll feel so much better!

  1. Ivanhoe says:

On the top of your listed items, I hate when people cannot even say "Good Morning" or respond to my "Hello". Do we work at the same office? :o)
Let the tomorrow be better then today!

  1. sorry if you had a bad day trav! have a little cake honey... just sayin'.

    smiles, bee
    xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  1. I'm with you. I just wonder what the hell is wrong with people. But then, I know. They're people. Nuff said.

  1. Sandee says:

Yep, nice group of things that can make one go crazy. I love the tune too Travis. Have a great day. :)

  1. Jeni says:

Gotta tell you I agree completely with all the little annoyances you listed and I have one to add to the list too -people who use the bathroom, shower, dress and walk out leaving their dirty clothes in a pile on the floor in one area, the towel they just used, tossed on the floor by the tub. Can't put the dirty clothes in a hamper, can't pick up the towel and hang it to dry! Can you tell the 16-year-old is home after spending the past 10 days with her mother? ARRGH.
On a really positive note though, as I clicked the video to play, Maya's head picked up at the first note and she came running over to my side to watch and listen and told me she really liked that song too! So I'm passing that tidbit along to you now as well!
    Peace.

Those are some of my peeves as well.

Please have a great day, and thank you for sharing thsi with us. Glad you feel better...

    Hugs!
    :-D)

  1. TopChamp says:

yup yup yup... but I think I am probably guilty of just launching into things without introduction or checking if the person's really listening.

  1. Maybe you need a sick day or three?

  1. I answered YES YES YES to every question

    Excellent tuneage my friend

  1. Sufferin' Succotash!!!!

I think we may know all the same people. You have my deepest sympathy.

  1. Angell says:

I'm with you on just about all of those Trav honey. People just tend to annoy me. (LOL @ Anndi's comments about monkeys - the wonderful primates are SMARTER than the tools I work with).

    Great tune. :D

  1. Ann: I just get tired of this lack of courtesy.

WT4W: I like my job and my company. It's just sometimes the people are annoying.

    Julie: I love that song!

Matt: I hate to be late too.

    Marsha: Now that's good advice!

Ivanhoe: Oh yeah! Return my greeting at least!

    Bee: CAKE cures all!

    Charles: Indeed.

Sandee: It's even tougher when they all pile on top of each other.

Jeni: Thanks for letting me know about Maya. That made me feel good!

    Lois: Getting there.

TC: I've done it myself too, but I'm usually a bit more aware especially since I know how much it bugs me.

    Travis: Mental health day!

V: I gotta figure out how to use lifelogger os it's not always videos when I want to post music.

    Jamie: Thanks!

  1. Love the song, haven't heard it in awhile. And I agree with your list...and it boils down to people no longer thinking that politeness is necassary. What ever happened to trying to be nice and think of the other person? Now, it's just step on anyone that gets in your way.

  1. So...yeah. I was going to comment on a few of them but I pretty much agree with you on them all.

Glad you got all of that out-that was a lot of stuff to have rolling around in your head!!!

  1. Been there felt that!

  1. Great night on SYTYCD! I am looking forward to your recap. Chelsie and Mark just blew me away tonight.

  1. j says:

NO WAY! I heard this song on XM radio TODAY and wrote down the name so I wouldn't forget it. LOVE IT!

The office rant is SO far beyond my comprehension now. I worked from the time that I was 16 until I turned 25. I quit to be a full time Mom. I have been out of the work force for 12 years. My rant would be more like, "Don't you hate it when they come up to you when you are on the phone and ask you a question, after you have told them 127 times NOT to do that?"

    Jen

  1. I've worked in many offices in my time and I say yes to all of them. Very annoying.
Hope you have a better day today ;-)

  1. Never underestimate the power of inconsiderateness, unfortunately. *hug*

  1. Angell: Every once in awhile it just boils over.

    John: Agreed.

Mags: It was a lot and I felt better as soon as I had written it all out!

Starr: Chelsie & Mark are a couple of sleepers, and they are getting stronger each week.

    Jennifer: It's a great song isn't it?

    Anthony: It has gotten better.

    Lana: Unfortunate is correct.

  1. are you by chance in the midst of fiscal close?

  1. Katherine: Not quite...just hit a boil over point.

I would add "hosting companies that don't reply when your blog is down and it's their fault"...

... yep, my blog was down all WE and they never bothered replying. Phew.

I'm usually the bad driver so I can't comment on that but I hate when people don't say "hi" and "thank you"

  1. That IS a great tune! And I can relate & agree with your list.
