Seven Songs meme

Yikes! I nearly found myself postless for today. I guess that wouldn't have been so bad. But if I hadn't posted something today, then you'd have two days of reading about my tech ijititis. Nobody wants that.

It is so a word...ijititis. I say it is, so it is.

Lucky for me I have some stuff in the queue just for times like these. So let's have a music meme, courtesy of Mary the Teach at Work of the Poet. I got tagged for this in early July. Here's the rules:

List seven songs you are into right now.
Post these instructions.
Tag seven others.

I've been working to digitize all of my old cassette tapes. It's a pretty long process, but well worth it because I'm hearing so much great stuff that I haven't heard in ages. And lucky me! The music uploads as mp3 files so I can upload them to LifeLogger!

So here is my Seven Songs meme, and my very first LifeLogger tuneage post. Cross your fingers!

She's A Mystery To Me, Roy Orbison

Pieces Of April, Three Dog Night

Save Your Heart For Me, Gary Lewis & the Playboys

On The Dark Side, Eddie & the Cruisers (John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band)

The Doctor, Doobie Brothers

Don't You Care, The Buckinghams

If You Needed Somebody, Bad Company

Edit: I had to take the music out. It wouldn't play, and the codes kept freezing up my blogger. So I guess you get two tech ijit posts in a row.

**sigh**

Oh well. Take my word for it...the tunes are fantastic!

    I can't hear anything, but I really love a few of your choices!

  1. Love the list! I am a HUGE music fan so this was right up my alley :)

  1. Jeni says:

    I am so out of touch these days with respect to music -the only song I'd ever heard of in your list was the one from "Eddie and the Cruisers!" Imagine that, huh? I really do need to get a life beyond the blog and computer.

  1. Sandee says:

    How fun Travis. I love you list. All good ones. Have a great day. :)

  1. It's not you Trav, Lifelogger can be a mega-tool. Ask Bond.

    Eddie and the Cruisers! I remember seeing that at the drive in. We made smores with a bic lighter in the car. Good times!

  1. The primary music I'm into at the moment is Ozzy's Black Rain CD. Good stuff.

  1. Great songs! I'll get to this meme myself...

    Imeem.com is what I use it's also a social network as well, if you're interested in indie artists especially.

    Mine's up.

  1. Danielle: Same here...got my eye on you in my reader.

    WT4W: I couldn't even get my blog to load today while the music was in the post.

    Bitter Betty: I've almost got 7000 songs in my Ipod since I started my music project!

    Jeni: Nah...the internet is part of your life!

    Sandee: I wish I could have gotten the tunes to play.

    Starr: Maybe I'll try one song at a time.

    Charles: Ozzy rocks.

    Bud: Cool!

    Danielle: Excellent! I've tried Imeem, but it only plays a short sample of the tune.

  1. Great choices! I really love John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. Do you have their albums under their own name? Even better stuff.

  1. What...no FLOYD??? BLASPHEMY! ;)

  1. Kimmie says:

    "Pieces Of April"...one of my very favorite songs of all time. :-)

    Very nice list Travis. Sorry your Tuneage didn't work.

    Thanks for visiting my blog. You are a dear heart.

    Hugs,
    Kimmie

  1. John: I don't have any of their non-soundtrack work and I should. Just an oversight on my part.

    Lana: I know! But they didn't come up in the 7 song shuffle. Maybe next time.

    Kimmie: I think Pieces of April is one of the top 5 Three Dog Night tunes.

  1. Linda says:

    Those are some great songs and even though I've got "Pieces of April" running through my head. I haven't thought of that song in years and it's such a good one!

    I love your new word - ijititis - too!

  1. We have boxes of cassettes - finally threw out the 8 tracts (kidding...) and I hate to toss them. But I don't know if either of us is savvy enough to save them to another format. I never thought I get "stupider" as I got older!
    I liked your list - I've been listening to Gnarls Barkely. Some of his stuff is really great. I usually listen to a classic rock station - lots of hard rock from the '80's - big hair bands! Hubman is revisiting AC/DC...
    ~~~Blessings~~~
  1. Oh,, I am loving these. and this meme. And I love On The Dark Side, "Eddie & the Cruisers". I watched that movie about a month ago. Good one....
  1. Julie says:
    Oh yeah! Pieces of April! Love it! You're a good little memer aren't you?
