...the 87 passengers and crew of American Airlines flight 11, the 60 passengers and crew of United Airlines flight 175, and the 2,016 people in both towers.

...the 64 passengers and crew of American Airlines flight 77 and the 125 people in the Pentagon.

...the 40 passengers and crew of United Airlines flight 93.

...the 343 firefighters and paramedics, 23 NYPD officers, and 37 NY Port Authority officers.

...the many souls who had their lives disrupted.

I will always remember.

Lord, wrap your arms around those whose hearts are aching this morning because a loved one is gone. Give them strength, courage and comfort this day and every day.

  1. I will never forget or forgive...

  1. Thank you so much for the reminder. We will never forget.

  1. Hard to concentrate this morning. I first saw the images after I got to work and so every time I walk into my office on the anniversary I can see them running in my head.

  1. Great post for today.
    Thanks Travis :)

I will always remember that day.
I will always remember who was responsible as well.

Have a great day Travis. Big hug. :)

I remember, too, and as I look out at the beautiful September sky today that was just as it was seven years ago, I know that I will never forget.

i posted about it, i keep reading about it, and yet i still get a tear in my eye when i think about it.

  1. Yesterday I felt off all day...you saw my post...a jumble...and then this morning I woke and felt off and angry and could not understand why, until a few minutes later when the date hit me...

It has been a angry day all day for me...just angry

    Beautiful post Travis

We shall never forget. Good work, Trav. Hugs!

  1. Thanks for your support. I don't know why, but it hit me really hard today. The images have been with me for several days now, and I guess all that tension released today.

I'm sure it will recede again as the next days go by, as it does every year. It never goes completely away though.

    Peace be with you all.

  1. I think a lot of us feel angry because it's unresolved. Nothing can ever return our loved ones to us but having Bin Laden in a noose would make me feel a lot better.
Thanks for this post, Travis. Very well done, friend.

  1. It is a day when many over here in the UK remember, too.
    A terrible day.

I cry every year on September 11th.

This was a beautiful post. The numbers, just looking at those numbers of people who died.... it is heart wrenching. Adding a face and a story to the numbers? It is almost unbearable.

And the first responders... just doing their job.

As will we all, Trav. A day that began with such beauty -blue skies, so much sunshine and then, turned so dark, dreadful, frighting, horrific as the day and then weeks thereafter progressed.

    Impossible to forget.

  1. Well done Travis. May we never forget.
