Back on the west coast

Hey gang!

This is just a quick word to let you know that I'm back home on the west coast. I've got a ton of catching up to do, beginning with my studies. I did a lot of reading yesterday and I still have a bit more to do, plus some lectures to watch. Then I need to review and take an exam, and then start on the next week's assignments.

I'm so far behind!

And I'm behind with blogs too. So today I am watching football and trying to catch up with what's been happening in the bloggosphere.

Hopefully I can get re-organized and re-energized, and return next weekend with Sports Saturday and NFL Sunday.

Cheers gang!

I can multi-task a lot of things but if I sit down and want to watch a football game (especially a football game!) I find I can't really do much of anything else then. I can listen to baseball and get the gist of what's happening fine and do other things too at the same time. But to try to write, or read or cook or whatever else maybe needs done with a football game on, watching an "instant replay" is just not quite the same for me, as it is to see the action WHEN it happens, to follow the ball as it leaves the quarterback to the receiver or gets intercepted -whatever. My mind is selfish about this and I want to watch ALL the action WHEN it first occurs, ya know. So if you can concentrate enough on blog reading AND still be able to follow the game along, more power to ya Buddy! I know for sure I can't do that and what's more, I don't LIKE to do that either. Maybe the latter is more the explanation then as to why I can't multi-task with football on the tube!

  1. Our Dodgers lost so now I'm rooting for Boston, then I will support the National league in the series ... baseball is so frustrating.

    Good luck with the studies.

  1. don't worry trav, have some cake and take a deep breath...

  1. Enjoy a little rest, I think, and come back refreshed.

  1. Jeni: I use the time between snaps and commercials to focus on blogs. And there are some games that I stop everything to watch carefully.

Jamie: GAH! I can't root for Boston.

    Bee: That's a good suggestion.

Anthony: That's also an excellent plan.

Oh, Trav, I am so far behind as well. My reader has over 700 posts in it. I just can't seem to find the time to catch up. *sigh*

  1. Glad you made it home safely. I brought my unread messages in Google Reader down to 33 from 150+, but I must admit, I didn't read them all.
