Encores anyone?

Cue that theme music and let's have some encores!
Shall we begin with the nimble 300lb defensive tackle? I would love to, except I couldn't find a clip of the Viennese Waltz from Warren and Kym. Dangit.
Well, how about the delightfully dainty Jive from Susan and Tony? This is the long clip, so you'll find the dance at about 2:20.
We enjoyed the Viennese Waltz from Lance and Lacey. We thought it was traditional, but still in a style that a young couple might dance. Yes, there were some technical issues. Lance isn't as good a dancer or entertainer as we expected. But this is still one of our favorite pairs.
The dance of the night once again goes to Brooke and Derek with an elegant Viennese Waltz. They told a wonderful story.
Well, Misty May Treanor was forced to withdraw with a ruptured Achilles tendon. So we only had nine couples left in the competition, and they stacked up thus:
28 Brooke and Derek
25 Warren and Kym
24 Maurice and Cheryl
22 Toni and Alec
22 Lance and Lacey
21 Susan and Tony
21 Cody and Julianne
20 Rocco and Karina
16 Cloris and Corky
Misty had surgery today on her ankle. Maks and Edyta are in the ballroom to dance the Jive routine they didn't get to dance last night. Can I get a Woooooooooo for the return of Edyta's LEGS LEGS LEGS LEGS?????
Let's find out who is the first to be safe, shall we? It's Brooke and Derek, which should surprise no one who watched that beautiful Waltz. Joining them is Cloris and Corky, which could signal that no couple will be eliminated tonight after Misty and Maks had to withdraw.
That's not a slight against Ms Leachman. It just makes sense that no one would go home this week so the show can stay on schedule.
Kool and the Gang is in the ballroom! They perform a melody of great hits, accopmanied by some great professional dancers who were not introduced. That rocked! Outstanding!
More results...Maurice and Cheryl return next week.
The Radio City Rockettes are in the ballroom as part of the Macy's Stars of Dance. Did someone say LEGS? Amazing how you can collect a group of beautiful young women with outstanding LEGS and have them perform the same basic steps over and over again for generations, and it still brings the house down. Five shows a day, seven days a week, for 75 years. Not these same girls of course, but you know what I mean.
**wink**
Hmmmm...that brings up an interesting point. We wonderss, yess preciouss, we doess. Heheheheheeee. You all know that I write the recaps and results from my perspective, with a bit of input from my Lady Pam. It's my blog, after all. But here's the question...should we have a review from Pam, from a Lady's perspective? My reviews are certainly slanted toward a gentleman's view.
What say you?
Now Derek and Julianne join Jennifer Hudson, performing Spotlight. Some of you may remember Jennifer as a contestant on American Idol in season 3. More recently, she won a Golden Globe and an Oscar for her role as Effie in Dream Girls. She is an amazing vocal talent and a fine actress. Julianne and Derek were pretty fantastic too.
Travis Payne, Brian Friedman, and Dave Scott have some positive words about the DWTS choreography. They had universal praise for the ballroom pros and how they handle teaching beginners, as well as their own performances.
Back to results now. Safe are Warren and Kym, as well as Toni and Alec.
Yup...no one is eliminated this week. This week's scores will be added to next week's scores to determine who goes home. And tonight we find out who had the lowest number of votes.
Susan and Tony did not have the lowest vote total, and neither did Cody and Julianne. Lance and Lacey didn't have the least either.
That means Rocco and Karina would have gone home with the lowest vote total. I don't think that's really too surprising. I can report that Pam did not squee this week.
So we'll carry the leader board and the vote totals to next week and see what happens.
I'll be scarce the next few days. I need to study after taking the last two evenings off. I've got posts backing up in my reader too. I'll be around to visit when I can.
Later gang!
Pam? YUP YUP YUP!
I saw Edyta and thought... Travis will THUMP... and then the Rockettes and their legs... and figured you'd be grinning LOL
Good luck studying!
