  1. I have goosebumps. I am so proud of our country for voting for change.

And something else that's cool-there are hoards of people in the streets here cheering.

    How cool is this country?

  1. Jeni says:

Thanks for the early heads up about PA going over for Obama, Trav! And as I just commented on Dianne's blog, I think I'm gonna really celebrate a bit tonight with a Black Russian -Kahlua and vodka, provided I can find my bottle of vodka that is!
Hope to heck this holds up and doesn't come off like another Dewey-Truman thing come morning. My absolute worst nightmare there ya know!

  1. Awesome... congratulations on your new president :)

  1. Marilyn says:

Yay! Jasmine went to the polls with me and she listened to the acceptance speech. I told her she'll be telling her grandkids about this day.

  1. Cherie says:

    I'm so pleased!

    And that speech? Awesome! :)

  1. I wouldn't say he "did" just yet. Sure, he won the election (a great relief to me,) but we have yet to see this "change" I've heard so much about. My fingers are crossed, at any rate.

  1. TopChamp says:

woo hoo - You did it!

  1. Dianne says:

    yes he did!
    yes WE did!

thank you for being part of yesterday, your comments are always appreciated and valued.

you have a wonderful calming influence in your words - I admire that :)

  1. Mags: The people in this country have an infinite capacity.

Jeni: It will hold up, and I intend to be a part of the helping the change happen.

Terra: Thank you. We still have a long way to go and it's going to take us all to see it through.

Marilyn: That speech was inspiring and this President will continue to inspire.

    Cherie: Yes!

Lana: He did. And we did. And now it becomes about unity. I intend to focus on the positive and help move it forward.

    TC: Yes we did!

Dianne: I believe in unity. For me, I am an idealist first and foremost.

  1. Cheesy says:

I woke up this morning STILL all a tingle.. I am so please with our nation!

  1. PSST-

(Still proud, still excited, still amazed and excited.)

  1. I have hope, for sure. I hope it happens.

  1. Ivanhoe says:

Woo-hoo! It was time for change and the "American tribe" has spoken :o)

  1. It is so wonderful to have lived from the days when I saw segregated neighborhoods and violence against others just because of the color of their skin until this day with this man. I am proud of him and even more I am proud of U.S.

  1. I truly hope it turns out good trev, time will tell

  1. Cheesy: Me too!

    Mags: Seconded!

Charles: It can. But the hope is only the beginning. Now we must all do the work.

Ivanhoe: Americans have spoken, true. And now we must work.

    Jamie: Well said.

  1. Sarge,

The tone you decided to take during the last few months has offended me. So I wrote you a private email and stayed away.

And yet I respect your passion in your beliefs. You chose a way. I profoundly disagree with that choice.

But that choice was yours, Sir. You own it.

I say to you now that hope is a step. What you do next in pursuit of that hope is the real story and another choice.

You may choose to continue spreading divisiveness. Or you may choose to be a positive force for healing.

I leave that choice to you. I have made mine, and I intend to own it, and work on behalf of our better history.

Thank you for your comment here today.

Now I hope all Americans can pull together and support our new President. Pulling this country out of the situation its currently in is much more than any one man can do on his own. With his leadership though, he and we can do it together!

  1. Julie says:

Very well done Travis! You'll get the hang of this yet! You know what I mean, right?

    **hugs**

  1. Jeff: It's not going to be easy. But I am on board!

    John: It is!

    Julie: I do know!
