Skywatch

This is a bit of the storm that came in on Wednesday. The view is to the west across Elliott Bay. The picture was taken through one of our conference room windows. I can see that spectacle from my cubicle.

I don't normally participate in the Skywatch meme. But this view was too amazing not to share.

And this is a bit of what that storm system dumped on the central Puget Sound area.

Have a fantabulous weekend!

  1. Holy cow! If I had that type of view from my office window - well, you know I wouldn't get a solitary thing done! That is simply breathtaking. Sigh........
    And the photos around your condo - you can almost "hear" the silence.
    Beautiful.
    ~~~Blessings~~~
    That is an absolutely gorgeous view you have there. I'm with Gracie, if I had that view I would never ever get anything at all done!
    Your snow looks very pretty. We'll be getting some of our own today. Yeeha. NOT! Ah well, I live in New England, it's to be expected I guess.
  1. What a wonderful view, Travis.
    And I love the snow pictures!
    Lemme say again: What an office view! Not that I'm jealous or anything :o)
    Waiting for that snow to get here by x-mas. Got a bit the other day, but it has been raining here all day today...
    Good call on including that photo. Really spectacular.
    The others look much like it does down here right now.
    Great Skywatch photo! Very intense contrasts going on there. And what can I say about the snow pictures? They're wonderfully wintery, and that's great as long as I can see them from a far. ;) But I know my time is coming. I'm going to Duluth in January for a wedding. lol
  1. wow, trav!
    i hear the storm's a real doozie, in the midwest and southern ontario, esp the toronto area! :(
    Lovely pics Trav, thanks!
  1. Gracie: I love that snow as long as I don't have to try and drive in it.
    Cheesy: We did!
    Songbird: I did see that on the news yesterday. Wacky.
    Hope: I have some sunset pics that I was going to share today, but this picture was too good to hold.
    Mike: You bet!
    Linda: I saw a bit of the pounding y'all are getting on the news. I guess it's the time of the year for it.
    Mimi: I love looking at it through the window. It's very peaceful.
    Ivanhoe: I heard you were do for a bit of a storm.
    Akelamalu: Thanks!
    Jeff: That snow has kept me home for two days. I need to get out!
    Cherie: I love the colors in that sky. We stared at it for quite awhile.
    Jennifer: I've always got my camera with me now because the sky is so unpredictable.
    Laughingwolf: It sure did dump a bunch of white stuff on a lot of places.
    Pauline: Hi there!
    What a spectacular view from your office! I'd have trouble focusing on anything else. Love the snowy photos too ... thanks for sharing.
    Hugs and blessings,
    Beautiful pictures, Trav. Absolutely picture-perfect for a Christmas card. Sadly, snow just doesn't seem to look quite that pretty around here -or at least not the crappy mix we got today didn't look to nice coming down and didn't improve any after it landed on the ground either!
    Merry Christmas to you, Pam and Mr. Tucker and the best of New Years to all of you too!
  1. Kanani says:
    Wow! I wouldn't even know where to start in that kind of weather! Snow? Exciting, but daunting for me --understand that I just recently put away the sandals!
    But very pretty photographs, Trav. Thanks for sharing them with me. My friend Barry has a wonderful view of Puget sound from his window. He enjoys it year-round, though even he says it gets awfully cold this time of year because the windows take up an entire side of the house!
    That is so pretty!
  1. Julie says:
    Love it! The tones of blue greys are so striking! You know I love snow....but I'm sorry you're stuck.
  1. Dianne: It's like a Currier & Ives postcard out there today.
    Storyteller: I work a little and look a little all day long.
    Jeni: We got a lot more snow today. We might be able to hike up to the road and see how the rest of the world looks now.
    Kanani: That's how I felt at my office earlier in the week. It's floor to ceiling windows all the way around, which makes for an amazing view but also makes it tough to warm up.
    TC: Agreed!
    Julie: We'll get out of here eventually.
  1. Grandy says:
    That is a great shot of the sky!! My office makes me feel like I'm in a casino. No windows near me at all.
  1. Beautiful sky watch shot!
  1. obviously catchin up...all of these shots are great...I envy your snow!
