Feeling more like myself

Hey gang!

Just thought I'd drop a quick post and let y'all know I appreciate your good wishes. I hate an unscheduled and unexpected break due to illness, but I'm on the mend again and beginning to feel like myself.

Migraines suck. They suck even more when you can't curl up in a ball with a woobie in a dark room and feel sorry for yourself.

I had to work all week.

But that was last week and I made it through.

Today is for catching up with y'all, and watching basketball.

I got my Lady an afternoon at her favorite day spa for her Valentine. Later we'll be having dinner at our favorite steak house, The Keg.

We don't really need a special day to do that kind of stuff, but what the hell. Let's call it our contribution to stimulating the economy for today.

Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Dang, Trav -that Valentine's present you gave your wife -spectacular! Do you have any old brothers, uncles, male friends who think as you do? If so, give them my blog address and we can talk over some coffee!
I gotta tell you -since you mentioned you did a happy dance when you discovered my reader was up and running again, I did a big happy dance here too! Six months of no reader was like being in prison on a starvation diet!
Happy Valentines Day to you and Pam and don't forget Mr. Tucker too!
    Peace.
Oh -and no more migraines, please.

So glad to hear that you are feeling better, Travis! And you're right, migraines are horrible and are made even worse when real life intrudes.

I bet Pam was thrilled with her spa day and I'm sure that dinner out will be a lovely affair for the both of you. That's the kind of economic stimulus we all could use!

  1. Glad you're feeling better. Happy Valentine's Day to y'all (we don't need a special day for such stuff, either--which is probably why we're not doing anything special. ;)

  1. Happy Valentine's Day, Travis! And Mrs. Travis, too. Sounds like a good day for the two of you, especially after the week you had.

Hi Travis, Glad you're feeling better now. Hope the weather has settled a bit --I know it's been cold.

Anyhoo.... I spent the day pondering the fate of my 10 year old car. I keep fixing it, and am realizing I will have to buy a new one. So I looked around --boy, buying a car is so dismal these days. The sales people don't even bother you, they're so sure they're not going to sell one! I'm finding alot of the cars interchangeable: corolla, civic, cobalt, etc. The only thing that grabbed me was a new Dodge Challenger. It took me right back to my youth..MAN...it's just so tempting. The price is down to less than an Accord!!

Glad the noggin's feeling better, bro. Nothing like migraines to muck up everything.
Nice gift, maybe you should indulge too and keep the migraines at bay *wink*

I hear you about "Valentine's Day" LOL. I was just ever grateful that I was graced with some precious time with mah Honey. Every day I get to spend with him is like Valentine's Day :)
