More Madness

I didn't feel like cooking this morning, so I began my day with Apple Cinnamon Cheerios.

It looked like #6 seed Marquette was going to bury #11 seed Utah State early. But the Aggies hung in and finally figured out how to defend against the quickness of the Golden Eagles. Late in the game, Utah State took a 6 point lead, but then had two key players foul out. Marquette was able to come back and claim the victory. I had the Aggies as one of my upset picks.

But I did get the right picks in the other 3 early games this morning, so I'm sitting at 16-4 so far. That's still way better than I've done the last couple of years.

Time for a turkey sammich! I'll have mine on a potato bread bun with mayo and provolone cheese. Yum-OH!

  1. I'll have a slice of tomatoe on mine!

  1. Start with breakfast and end the post with lunch - Ha! :)

  1. Do you take the first days of the tournament off from work every year? Or are you blogging from work?

My bracket has improved after day two. There are only seven of us participating in this little pool, and I've moved from dead last up to tied for third. I'm the only one who has picked UNC to go all the way, so we'll see.

  1. I had Utah State as well.

In the late games, I had Siena, Cleveland State and Wisconsin.

So 3-1 in upsets today wasn't too bad.

  1. NNG: I would have done, but we didn't have any tomato. Dangit!

    Mary: Good bookends eh?

Songbird: I've taken the first 2 days off work for the last 12 years or so.

Southern: I had Wisconsin, but I didn't know anything about Sienna or Cleveland State so I went with the higher seed. I was judicious with my upset picks this year, and it's paid off in a pretty good bracket so far.

  1. See where all this madness has gotten you? You don't even feel like cooking! Where will it end?

  1. Mimi: It will end where all good things end...with CAKE!
