Welcome to another Manic Monday with Morgen. Don't forget to cruise by MM HQ at the Manic Monday blog. Today's theme is Taste.

Remember the Miller Lite commercials from the 1970's?

And I thought I'd throw in this one, in honor of a new blog pal. If you haven't visited Marine 1st Sgt Michael Burke at Castra Praetoria, you're missing out.

    BEER!!!

    Yup, Burke's worth visiting.

  1. Egads, you featured a severed tongue!

  1. I am always complaining about stupid insulting commercials...it was good to revisit ones from the past which were entertaining and clever.

You can see how much fun they all had making them.

I think Miller ought to start them up again...

Every great once in awhile there are some good commercials out there and even if you aren't a beer drinker, these are great!

Hope you and Pam had a great Easter, I'm trying to get back into the whole blogging thing but it's taking time. Taking a break is easy, ending that break isn't!

  1. Those commercials bring back memories. Thanks for the links.

  1. The Miller Light were a special breed of commercials. It took a fledgling ad agency begun by two men who had left a huge shop...and the agreement of the new beer, Miller Light, to formulate the brilliance found in these.

**Is too distracted by the chocolate cake in previous post to post proper comment** :P

Poor Rodney, he never gets any Respect! hahaha!

  1. Akelamalu: Agreed!

Ann: Good American beer...we has it!

    Charles: I did. Sorry!

Katherine: We always stopped whatever we were doing when these commercials came on tv.

Linda: Ease badk into the blogging. It'll come back to you. And if it doesn't, then the break wasn't long enough!

Southern: They were always some of my favorites.

    V: Good point.

    Meri: Heheheheheee

    WT4W: HA!

  1. Well, since I was born in '77 I don't remember 'em. But, thanks for the throwback. :)

  1. Julie says:

Babe? Can I get you a beer?

  1. It was hard to hear the commercials, but yup, I remember those days. Who could forget Rodney Dangerfield, Billy Martin, and the gang?
