Friday Feets - Trav's Walk-about Adventures

Welcome to Chapter 2 of my new feature. I introduced you to this little idea of mine last Friday. Basically, I'm on a quest to fight the crippling effects of chronic pain from an old knee injury.

So last Sunday Pam and I walked down to Denny's for breakfast. Silly me...I had the camera and didn't take a picture of our food. We've both been dying to try this new Grand Slamwich. It was fantastic!

Here's a bit of what we saw while we walked. Spring has finally taken full control.

We didn't walk very far, and I can't walk very fast. But it didn't matter because I was with my Lady, enjoying this beautiful sky and this wonderful place.

As my dear friend has said, it's all about "grabbing Pam's hand and breathing in fresh air while the warmth of the sun's rays wrap around you".

I'm still amazed to have found this cocoon of serenity amidst so much bustling urbanity.

Happy May Day!

Wonderful photos. It's been gray, gloomy, and rainy, here most of the week and it's supposed to continue into next week. Oh well, it will just make me appreciate the fair weather when it finally returns.
    Have a great week-end.

  1. Very nice pics. Looks like you have some really nice places to walk in.

  1. Have I told you lately that I love this feature? Well, I do. And I love how much you love Pam. It gives me hope! :)

    Happy Friday Trav.

Your walk sounds wonderful and so are the flowers in bloom. My azaleas are just popping, too. They're my faves.
    Have a great weekend! :o)

    A great perspective.

Even with as much whining as I do about the rainy season here, when spring and summer roll around it's a tough place to beat.

  1. Beautiful. The things you see when you walk eh? I love walks and am glad I can still take them.

  1. Gorgeous pics of spring you've got there... AND the grand slamwhich does look yummy indeed!

What more could one ask for than to be walking hand in hand with the one you love in such lovely surroundings? :)

  1. Barb: You must. It's really good.

    Marsha: I do!

Drilleraa: We're supposed to get some rain this weekend.

    John: Yup.

Mags: I'm glad you enjoy it. We're definitely getting benefit from the walking.

Ivanhoe: The flowers are really busting out all over now.

    Lois: My pleasure.

Great pics there Trav. I see you have a picture in the mix of the Pennsylvania State flower too though. The lovely Mountain Laurel! It's easy to see why it got the nod to be our state flower, isn't it?
The bush in front of my house is no where near ready to bloom yet though. I think we've had maybe two days out of the week that we didn't have rain and a few that were a mite on the downright chilly side too!
    Peace.

Very nice! Pansies always make me smile.....and so do friends taking charge of their bodies and enjoying themselves.

    Keep on footing sweet fella!

  1. NNG: Glad you enjoyed!

Terra: It was delicious. That could easily become a Sunday routine around here.

    Akelamalu: Not much more actually.

Jeni: Is that what that is? I don't know much about flowers and there are only a few that I can recognize without a guide.

Thom: We have some pretty spectacular foliage around these parts.

    Lizza: The sammich was fantastic!

    Meri: It is!

Lana: I love how big rhodies get.

Jennifer: I should take some pics off the back porch. It's so green and lush now.

Julia: The smells were pretty good too.

Julie: It's great to be able to do this and to share it with everyone in photos.
