Welcome to Chapter 3 of my new feature. I'm on a quest to fight the crippling effects of chronic pain from an old knee injury by getting out and walking. You can trace my journey by clicking here.

Some days, just turning my head from my computer screen will earn me a glance at something amazing. The other day it was the sky that caught my eye. So I walked over to the pier

I love how there are different textures to the clouds. They can be wispy or puffy, all in the same sky.

How wonderful to have such beautiful views within walking distance, Trav! I am always amazed how there never seems to be the same sky twice! Happy Weekend!

Loved these pics, Trav. Thank goodness for bloggers like you and many others as I am getting a royal grande tour of the world through the lens of many cameras!

  1. Linda says:

Clouds are amazing things, aren't they? They look like they should be solid and yet we know they aren't but don't you just want to go up and be able to sit on a few and watch the world from an angel's view?

Great pictures and I'd have taken a walk to the pier myself with that kind of view to look at!

  1. Lana will love these shots. She's a big fan of clouds, and we have amazing ones down here in Louisiana.

    Thanks for taking us along!
    :-D)

  1. Katherine: This is such a windy place. I can get mesmerized easily because the cloud patterns change so rapidly.

Thom: I like a clear blue sky, but it isn't nearly as interesting as when there are clouds.

NNG: Well that's a good thing!

    V: That I do.

Marsha: Days like this one make up for all the gray days we have.

    Ivanhoe: It's a good combination.

Barb: Even when it's raining you can still get some spectacular views.

Jeni: We sue do get to visit some great places through the camera's eye.

Linda: I like to grab a sammich and go sit out there for awhile when I have time.

Charles: I love Lana's pics of the sky down there.

    Akelamalu: On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say I'm 100.

    Lois: My pleasure!

  1. cool, trav, neither warm nor dry enough here yet for long walks :(

  1. Julie says:

OH yeah! Very expressive looking sky!

  1. Laughingwolf: It can still be a bit chilly here, and it's supposed to rain in the next few days. But when it's sunny, we have to get out in it.

Julia: I'm enjoying this too. I'm finally getting out and enjoying this wonderful area.

Kanani: The museum at Ft Lewis is on our list of places to go.

Drilleraa: It's definitely helping my attitude.

Mimi: I've got a really good one set up for next week. This place will be overloaded with pics!

TC: The colors are amazing around here, especially after a few days of gray skies.

Julie: We watched those clouds roll around and change shapes all day.
