Almost had nuttin'

I've been working on a post and it isn't going well.

But, as I continue to bask in the afterglow of the Lakers and their NBA championship, I'm not stressing too much over the post. I'll either get it right, or I'll set it aside and come back to it another time.

Of course, that means I almost had nothing to post for today...until I let the 3,152 songs on my computer roll at random and flash on this.



I love this song!



What are the odds that these would play back to back on my computer without being manipulated? We're on the honor system here...they did!

Did you know that the brilliant Tatar dancer, Rudolf Nureyev, defected from the Soviet Union on this day in 1961?

    One of the best things about your blog is I'm learning and hearing and seeing more different styles of music that I thought that I would never ever listen to or watch. I enjoyed this. Like SYTYCD (Mary) I may need some time, but they could grow on me. Thanks for sharing :)

    I love Fool on the Hill too. Of course I could turn the sound off and watch Paul McCartney... an be perfectly happy :)

    Nureyev has talent beyond description. He makes that looks so easy.

    Thanks for those Nureyev clips!!!

    I absolutely love that male variation from Swan Lake. One of my favorite pieces from among many from Tchaikovsky.

    And - to borrow a phrase from Maxwell Smart - would you believe Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66 is way at the top of my musical faves? And that my husband and I danced our first dance at our wedding to Pretty World by Brasil 66?

    Ah, those are beautiful, Travis.
    I'm in Savannah with a roaring case of jet lag. Hubby has lent me his computer so until Saturday --I'm connected and don't have to face the inevitable Twitter meltdown.

    Anyway, as per The Lakers, well, there was the customary RIOT after the win near Staples Center. I guess though, my favorite Lakers was in the days they had Magic and Michael.

    Kanani: Magic & Co are my favorite Lakers as well, although Kobe & Crew are a very close second.
