Welcome to another Manic Monday with Morgen. Don't forget to cruise by MM HQ at the Manic Monday blog. Today's theme is Pop.

Today I give you one of my favorite snacks.

Oh hey...my pal Hope is doing some good work in support of our troops serving in Iraq. She's working now on trying to secure some toasters and crock pots to send over there. You can read about it at Hope Radio.

If you've helped out in the past, thanks. If you are able to help with this, thanks also.

  1. I haven't had a pop tart in a long time but I used to love 'em. Especialy the chocolate. Maybe I'll get some when I go to the store next.

  1. I love that 'Pop' graphic! I used to think I'd died and gone to heaven when we had pop tarts, when I was growing up. These days I much prefer the fruit danish that I suspect was the inspiration for the pop tart.

I do love Alphaghetti, though. I eat it quite regularly.

  1. I had to give up the Pop Trats they were way to addicting.

    Ah, Pop Tarts!

My cousin and I refer to the brown sugar cinnamon ones as a "Southern breakfast" as we ate them every morning for breakfast in the car during our 2000 Battlefield Tour Roadtrip in Virginia!

    Such fond memories!

I had all but forgotten about Pop Tarts. They are so good. Happy MM. Aloha

  1. Poptarts could be a serious addiction for me. I love the brown sugar ones. I'd better stay away from the blog 'til that picture disappears....

I've never had a pop tart!

  1. I had a pop tart for breakfast this morning. Love me some pop tarts.

  1. coolios trav... but i don't eat that stuff any more ;)

  1. Charles: I like all the different kinds...ever since I was a kid.

Julia: Now you've got me thinking about Spaghettios!

Mike: I haven't been able to kick the habit yet.

Linda: I enjoy the brown sugar cinnamon ones toasted. Most of the other kinds I just eat right from the wrappings.

    Thom: They are delicious!

Mimi: Are you sure about that now? Heehee!

    Akelamalu: Never???

John: I had some for breakfast too!

Laughingwolf: I should stop too...but they are only 400 calories for a pair of them.

  1. I use to love poptarts...the NON-icing kind...in the toaster...with butter.

    yum

  1. Sadly, I had to give up such snacks years ago, even though I still fancy the occasional indulgence.
Anything that helps the troops is good by me.

  1. Pop Tarts bring back memories of childhood and a rather amusing story from then that maybe I'll share one day. If I can manage to retell it without breaking into tears...just kidding!

There are always troops somewhere that need us to remember their efforts. Can't think of a more worthy cause.
