Magnificent

We briefly interrupt this hiatus to bring you a bit of magnificence.

Kathryn McCormick is excellent in the piece, but Jakob Karr is simply brilliant. The routine is choreographed by Desmond Richardson & Dwight Rhoden, founders of Complexions Contemporary Ballet Company. If the video doesn't play, click here.



From that performance, you might think Jakob was the winner. But you would be wrong. He was runner up.

After what was to me a rushed and unsatisfying fall season of So You Think You Can Dance, American has chosen Russell Ferguson as its favorite dancer for Season 6. He is the first Krumper to make the Top 20. He is amazing at what he does, but I'm fairly certain that it was his personality and performances like the one below that captured America's votes.     As we have discussed...a rushed season indeed...I wonder if they will rethink putting the show on during the Fall season again.

    Russel captured my eye..being a Krumper and doing the brilliant things he did...WOW!

    I think this was the BEST season ever of So You Think You Can Dance ... loved BOTH Russell and Jakob and was delighted they were the final two. America loves stories like Russell's ... and the winner is not the BEST dancer but rather America's FAVORITE so I suspected it might not be Jakob that came out on top. I suspect BOTH will have long careers with lots of success.

    Russell probably showed the most improvement and growth throughout the season. For someone who came off the street, without formal training, he is amazing.
    Jakob is simply brilliant. He will be a superstar in dance some day.

    You know Trav, and Bond, I can understand this sort of dedication to your sports teams, but I'm always in wonder at this. Me? I'm going to instead watch MY favorite reality show: G4's International Sexy Ladies Show. At least I think that's what it's called, all I know is that it has hot women doing interesting things.
