Blogger in Draft

Thanks to my blog pal Barb at WillThink4Wine, I have made another upgrade to my blogging.  You can't see this one, but I love it!

I didn't know about this Blogger in Draft feature.  Before I had the preview button at the top of my draft next to the Edit HTML and Compose buttons.  But now with BiD, the preview button is down below next to the Publish Post and Save Now buttons.  And when I click on the preview button, it allows me to see how my post is going to look in my template.

Cool!

If you want to try it, just go to your dashboard and scroll down to the bottom where the Other Stuff is.  In Tools and Resources, click the link for Blogger in Draft.  Then scroll back up to the top of your dashboard and click the little box next to Make Blogger in Draft my default dashboard.

Normally on Mondays you would see a post for the weekly feature called Take This Tune.  But my pal Jamie at Duward Discussion has made the decision to put the feature on hiatus.

I hope the break is just for the summer.  I really enjoyed participating.  The video and lyric prompts took my thoughts and emotions in so many different directions.

As I suspected might happen, Phoenix played very well at home yesterday to win game 3 of the Western Conference finals.  Amar'e Stoudemire exploded for 42 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Suns.

My Lakers didn't help themselves by turning the ball over 17 times and shooting 32 3-point shots.  The Suns' zone defense had a lot to do with forcing LA into so many outside shots.

So now my Lakers need to adjust and find a way to attack the interior of that zone more efficiently.  And more importantly, LA needs to take better care of the basketball.

Game 4 is on Tuesday in Phoenix.

Tune in tonight for the performance finale of Dancing with the Stars!!

It is cool, isn't it?! It's one of the features I really enjoyed when I was blogging with Wordpress, so hooray for blogger finally building it in!

I took your advise about how to finish painting and just stopped! hahahaha! Well, on the Yellow house, anyway. I'll be tackling the Swamp one day soon.

    Happy Monday, Trav!

  1. Definitely sounds like a good idea. I've been posting, then using the pencil icon at the bottom to correct problems on the screen right away as I read it.

I think it's a great idea as publishing pictures so that they're in the right spot has always been a pain in the buttocks! Having an actual preview makes all the difference in the world for me!

Hey Trav: Just checking in. Thanks for the Dancing reminder. I'd forgotten. And good info about your Bid Feature. I hate to tell you how many posts I had writen before I found the darn spellcheck feature. And obsessive complusive that I am - I went back and used it for all of my old posts. I knew where the preview was before the spellcheck. Too bad it doesn't work when on old L-A-D-Y types comments on someone else's blog. ;-)

I like BiD too... Have fun with TV tonight...

    HUGS!

  1. I did not know of that feature and will have to check it out. Always bothered me that i could not see line breaks etc in MY template...

  1. Oh, you must be excited and a little sad that the finale is here! I haven't been watching every week but have now and then...I hope that Evan wins.

  1. I still do not understand blogger in draft.

  1. Barb: It's way cool! And good on ya for stopping the paint madness. Sometimes you just have to say enough is as good as a feast.

Charles: Pencil icon? I must explore this.

Linda: One of my biggest issues has always been sizing the videos so they don't break my sidebar. That doesn't seem to be as much of an issue with the new template, but it's nice to be sure.

GGG: I hate to mis-spell something, or to get the grammar wrong. Yikes!

    Lois: I will!

V: Line breaks are another peeve of mine, particularly when I get too many or not enough spaces in between paragraphs.

Mags: We always get a little depressed when DWTS comes to an end. But that doesn't top the fun we have with the finale!

Mike: It's not too tough. It's mainly just a couple of mouse clicks so it's easier to preview your posts.

I'm so anxious to see DWTS tonight and AI tomorrow! Have to squeeze in finale of 24 though :)
    Go Lakers!

  1. Just finished watching DWTS - fabulous, all around.

As for BiD - I've always used the Preview button at the top, underneath the Compose button. I couldn't live without it.

  1. I'm a fan of Blogger in draft as well... It's like you're the beta tester of all the new features blogger is introducing.

  1. Well that was cool! I'll check it out!
