Lakers 2, Celtics 3

Boston put together a complete team game last night, while Kobe Bryant's teammates essentially disappeared.  And so the Celtics take 2 out of 3 games at home to force the NBA Finals back to LA up 3 games to 2 and with a chance to win the franchise's 18th championship on Tuesday.

Last night's game was all about advantages.  My Lakers failed to exploit a significant free throw advantage.  They failed to take advantage of 16 offensive rebounds.  And they failed to play strong defense, giving up way too many wide open jump shots and failing to control the defensive glass.  The Celtics took advantage of that lack of focus and dedication to get the win.

So now it's stand up time for my Lakers.  LA already gave up one game at home.  They cannot afford to do that again.

Now for something completely different...

Let me just say...Green Day rocked the Tony Awards intro last night!

And that put a smile back on my face.  My team may be down, but they are going back home and they have Kobe.  I'll take my chances with that.

I feel badly for you and all Lakers fans, but my Dad is a happy camper. He stopped at my bedroom door last night to ask if I was going to watch the game (no, I did not).

He was all excited about watching it and hoping he wouldn't fall asleep!

I like it when my Dad is excited about something!
