Five on Friday Set 34

I appreciate harmony.  I'm drawn to it.

Oh I like rock music, and some country music, and definitely music from the theatre.  I like guitars and drums and orchestras.  I like fine voices, male and female.  I like good lyrics, and songs with stories, and metal, and oldies, and classical, and strings.

I like music.

But play me great vocal harmonies and you just might stop me in my tracks.

So I offer The Fifth Dimension for Set 34...fantastic harmonies!

Those were great choices. I knew the group but I can't say that I actually remembered all the songs. Most, but not all. Nice set, Trav. Have a great weekend.

  1. Travis, when I was a wee little one, barely speaking, I used to sing this song. So of course it's my favorite for today. I adore the 5th Dimension.

  1. Agree strongly about harmony and lyrics you can actually hear. The 5th Dimension were always among my favorites, and "One Last Bell To Answer" is great lost love song.

Aquarius was one of my favorites! I sang along sooooo many times.....
    I enjoyed your playlist!

  1. I do like some of these harmonies. Particularly on Aquarius.

I love that group. I grew up listening to them on 8track tape!
Two of my faves are Aquarius and One Less Bell to Answer.

Oh but I do love me a good harmony, too - there is nothing like in the world as far as I'm concerned!

"One Last Bell to Answer" has always made me incredibly sad but I still love it and what can I say about "Aquarius" but that it sums up that time period perfectly? Great choices!

  1. Travis, I can't believe you are old enough to remember The Fifth Dimension. I must say that you have an eccletic range of music.

I am from that generation and loved them. There were so many great groups then. Thanks for the nice memories today. I also loved the Carpenters.

    Have a great weekend.

Always a nice variety in your choices!

  1. Travis, Great music set this week. I do not remember ever hearing Pupper Man.

I recognized 3 of the five songs.

I think I should share these with my Oldest Daughter. She has mature taste in music and I think she would enjoy The Fifth Dimension.

I hope that you are having a great weekend!

  1. Aquarius makes me want to wear a mumu (moo moo?) and burn incense under the moon. It is now in my pencil head.
    Sigh.
