Cue that theme music...

It's results live from Hollywood!

But first of course, I shall show you what we liked about Monday's performance show.

We had a ball watching the Samba from Kyle and Lacey.  Click here if the video doesn't play.

We really appreciated how effortless Brandy and Maks danced their Argentine Tango.  We also liked the way the dance was staged.  Click here if the video doesn't play.

We thought the Cha Cha Cha from Jennifer and Derek was probably our dance of the night...

...until we saw their absolutely beautiful and poignant Waltz.  Click here if the video doesn't play.

That's good stuff.

Here's a reminder of our leader board from Monday:

60 Jennifer and Derek
58 Kyle and Lacey
57 Brandy and Maks
53 Bristol and Mark

Ready to find out which of our four remaining couples makes it to the finale?  Me too!

First, the judges select the Argentine Tango from Brandy and Maks as the encore.

The fantastic Annie Lennox is in the ballroom, performing Universal Child, accompanied by two outstanding lyrical contemporary dancers.  That was amazing.

First results...Jennifer and Derek are in the performance finale.

It's the final Macy's Stars of Dance performance, featuring Cheryl and Derek in a retro 1950's style drive in, dancing a Jive to Billy Joel's Still Rock and Roll To Me.  Excellent!

Annie Lennox returns to perform Little Bird.  I would pay any amount of money you ask to see Ms Lennox in concert.  She rocks!

Second results...Kyle and Lacey are in the performance finale.

Enrique Iglesias is in the ballroom.  Doesn't this guy have any other songs he can perform?  Every time I see him on one of these shows, it's always "I Like It".  Play something else!  At least we got to see our pros...Louis, Dmitry, Damian, Cheryl, Peta, and Kym, choreographed by Louis.

And the elimination...Bristol and Mark are in the performance finale.

So that means Brandy and Maks are out.

I feel bad for Maks.  He's been so close several times with some really outstanding partners.  But things just haven't worked out.  I will say that I think Brandy belongs in the performance finale.

But the fans say it's Jennifer, Kyle, and Bristol dancing for this Fabulous Mirror Ball trophy.

Now it's just a week away!  Who is your favorite?

Later gang!

I really figured Bristol was going to go... She's been consistently on the bottom. Maybe this young lady is finding her dancing mojo?

I have to believe that there are a lot of people voting against Maks rather than voting for Bristol. Maks seems to either be partnered with the drama queen or be (himself) the drama queen most seasons. There is often an attitude or arrogance that can be off putting to many viewers. I think this season it may have cost his partner an appearance in the finale.

Sometimes I wish I watched more tv - these dances are beautiful.

Thank you for always commenting on my blog. *hug*

  1. I was stunned to hear that the Tea Partiers had directions on a blog how to vote for Bristal Palin. I hope that is not the case. I don't really think she is a dancing phenom. How else do you explain it?

It was in the Washington Post under Arts and Living.

It was sad to see Brandy go.

I would like for Jennifer to win. She is so cute and loves to dance.

  1. Brandy leaving was all sorts of wrong. I know Bristol has made a great deal of progress, but she simply doesn't belong in the top three. If the TPs carry her to the ball, I'm going to call foul.

Hmmmm . . . I learned a lot from reading the comments people left here this time. I was correcting Goodnight's math, so I didn't get to see the results. I thought Bristol would be out. But I never considered what Driller said. I think that's an interesting perspective. I'm pulling for Kyle. Jennifer might beat him, though.

  1. There are a number of sites asking people to vote for Bristol:
    http://us4palin.com/vote-for-bristol-and-mark-on-dancing-with-the-stars/
    and
    http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2010/09/five-reasons-bristol-palins-dancing.html
    are two of them...

If she wins, I will be disappointed. I know it is a popularity show, but she is getting votes from people not even watching.

  1. You know I'm a fan of this show...but only to watch...I've never actually voted.

But like the show which must not be named...Fan Base has always been a huge component. It is about popularity.

Many MANY of "the stars" have had websites and social media blitzes to encourage votes. There has always been speculation on how to beat the system. When Woz was on, the directions to beat the voting systems were widely circulated. The techno-geeks figured it out...but they just really didn't care enough to watch and vote.

This show actively recruits "stars" to stir up the fan base, and create media attention to increase viewer numbers. The DWTS production staff and ABC are absolutely loving this. With all the $$$$ it is bringing in.

The show is not only about the dancing. If it were, they would never had included Cloris Leachman, Woz, Buzz Aldrin, or many others.
