Do you like my winter season FoF banner?  I know the official start of winter is still about a month out, but it's cold now and I thought this was a nice transition.  You're welcome to use this for your Sets.

My grandmother loved all kinds of music.  I thought for Set 43, I'd share a few of her favorites from classic Country & Western.

As always, if you'd like to join us in the musical fun, the guidelines are basic and simple.

1. Grab the banner, make your post title Five on Friday, and be sure to link back here.
2. Go to Playlist.com to make your play list of five songs. You may choose a particular theme to share with us, or post random tunes if that's your vibe for the day. You can simply post the play list, or you can add a little summary about what you are sharing.
2a. Don't feel restricted by the tracks listed on Playlist.com. And don't be discouraged if the Embed code won't work. You're welcome to use any type of media to share your Sets.
3. Be sure to sign Mr Linky so everyone can visit your Set.
4. No tags, but feel free to invite your friends to play along if they need a post topic on a Friday.

Go forth and enjoy music!

  1. Now that country has gotten so top 40 you don't hear these great old songs that often. Nice to have the reminder.

    Now that IS classic country.

  1. Not sure how I got a couple of extra songs in there, but hey...bonus!

  1. Although I'm not personally a huge fan of these songs, I did get a big smile because my mom also loved these and it's worth listening to them again just to see her smile in my mind.

  1. Crazy - you'll be discovering this gem on one of my upcoming sets, Travis. It's so shivery delightful.

Thanks for giving us your grandmother's set list. It really does give a great sense of her.

Eddy Arnold! ...love his smooth, velvety voice. I grew up on this stuff. My Dad and Mother both played in a little neighborhood group on Saturday nights and they listened to this stuff all the time.

I'm going o have to listen to some more of Eddy!

    Have a lovely weekend, Trav!

"Crazy" has always been one of my all-time favorites - it's simple, it's pure, and it's true!

Love the new winter banner, I was hoping you'd be making one up for us!
