Five on Friday Set 56

I was worried.  I didn't have Track 1 until very late.  But once I settled, the rest fell right into place...just like any good progression.

I even managed a theme that links all 5 tracks in my Set to one another, totally separate from what takes you from Track 1 to Track 2 and so on.  You can probably guess the theme...I didn't try to disguise it.

Now I thought about including my progression after the play list, but then I decided to hold off.  I'll publish it on Tuesday.

Can't wait to cruise around and see what the rest of you have done!

And now, I present Set 56, otherwise known as Trav's Five Degrees of Musical Progression, Volume 2.

I hope I did this right. My contribution is pretty random. But regardless, it's posted and linked, although the linky didn't seem to work quite right this morning.

I can't follow your reasoning ... but it's still early and I can't brain very well.

    Have a stupendous day, trav!

  1. The progression that strikes me first is the initial flush of infatuation through to a relationship and then onwards to it's-over.

Really enjoyed today's set, Travis, especially Good Morning Starshine and Herman's Hermits.

  1. I got the same idea that Julia did, but Silhouettes didn't seem to quite fit the

Boy Meets Girl, boy gets girl, boy marries girl, honeymoon, and first fight. Answer please? Slow Dancing and Words are two favorite songs.

Mine isn't so much a progression as an element present in all of the songs.

    I love Good Morning Starshine.

So as to your set... does it have to do with love's beginnings and endings? Maybe ending isn't the right word... hmm... ebb and flow of romance?

I'll be curious to read your explanation. Have a wonderful day Travis!

  1. You're all in the ball park, as the central theme is love and its many aspects.

And Coco...the great thing about this is that there's no right or wrong answer. Songs can be linked by the emotion in the lyrics, a prevailing theme, or something technical.

  1. "Slow Dancing" brought back some memories. Been ages since I heard that song. I had forgotten it.

I'll wait for you to reveal the thread, but I sure enjoyed your selections!

  1. Travis, what great music you selected today. It reminds me of new love and totally captures it in your music.

Thanks for the tour down memory lane.

  1. So, today I can not see the players! Maybe later this afternoon...if not, I will be back tonight.

I am done..I gave away my progression...maybe I should have held it back

Yep, definitely picked up on the love theme here with some really great songs. I do love me some Herman's Hermits!

I finished mine late last night and though it might be a bit confusing and complicated it was a lot of fun. My explanation will be up on Tuesday.

  1. love can be a tricky thing from its beginnings to its inevitable endings, can't it? nice progression of songs. hope all is well.

love the post below this one. the pics made me smile.

  1. Travis,I just can not under how to do this one so I'm sitting this week out.
