Cue that theme music...

We're not live from Hollywood yet, but it's 1 March and we know who is going dancing for Season 12.

Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth begin.

Before anyone even has a chance to put on a sequined gown or unbutton a shirt, you'll hear how awful this cast is.  I don't pay any attention to that stuff.  I'm just a fan.

The only complaint I'll make is that another season will commence with no Valerie Bertinelli.

**sigh**

You know I'm gonna have fun, even if I don't get my wish for Valerie to come dancing.

Ready to meet them?  Here are the 11 celebrities for Season 12.

Chelsea Kane - Disney Channel and Broadway actor

Chris Jericho - WWE wrestler and entertainer

Hines Ward - Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, 2-time Super Bowl champion, and SB XL MVP

Kendra Wilkinson - TV personality

Kirstie Alley - Emmy winning actor and spokesperson

Mike Catherwood - radio personality

Petra Nemcova - super model and founder of Happy Hearts Fund

Ralph Macchio - actor, writer, director, and producer

Romeo Miller - actor, entertainer, and philanthropist

Sugar Ray Leonard - broadcaster and former world champion boxer

Wendy Williams - TV personality and author

There are plenty of rumors and leaks about the pro partners for each celebrity.  I don't traffic in rumor, so I'll wait for the official announcement and photographs.

Unlike last season, I don't have a pre-season favorite in this group.  I've always enjoyed Ralph Macchio.  I was a Sugar Ray fan when I followed boxing.  There are some attractive ladies.  I'd say it's pretty wide open.

And nobody knows how anyone is going to handle the pressure of learning the dances.

Season 12 premiers on 21 March!

I actually recognize a few names... Ralph Macchio, Sugar Ray and Kirstie Alley.

Boxing involves a lot of "dance-like" moves, so I can bet that Sugar Ray has a good chance to rev up the floor!

As soon as they announced it, I KNEW you'd have a post! Too many cute little blondes this season, I think but some seasoned pros that will be interesting to follow. You already know that I don't watch this show, but hey! I don't have to - I just check out your blog to stay in the know. VERY convenient!

    Have fun with it, Trav.

  1. Travis, I am just glad that DWTS is returning. Like you, I will wait to hear who they will be parterned with.

I wish VB would come on the show.

Till then, keep up the good work and posting for us.

Wow! I would not have even recognized Ralph Macchio! So, you had to sit through The Bachelor to see who was dancing, eh?

I've only heard of Kirstie Alley and Sugar Ray Robinson. Sugar Ray should do well - he's used to fancy footwork isn't he? ;)

aaahh.....at last looking forward to something good to watch on television!

  1. Lois: I think it's a pretty good group.

Coco: I intend to have fun!

Pam: I shall keep wishing for Ms Valerie.

GGG: Nope...but I did keep refreshing the DWTS home page. Heheheheheee!

Akelamalu: You're a generation or two off...but it's an easy mistake to make. I've always considered Mr Robinson to be the true Sugar Ray. But this Ray is Mr Leonard.

Marsha: Since I got my DVR I've been checking in on a lot more programs. I've found some good ones.

We have been Dancing on Ice here for a few weeks now which I like, but the dancing on normal surfaces shows are much better.

I also recognise quite a few of these celebs. That's good because it makes your updates that liiiitle bit more interesting (though I enjoy them regardless - checking out the youtube clips if I have time).

  1. I don't watch this show, but from this list, I'm hoping for a Chris Jericho-Kendra Wilkinson finale.

  1. Ralph Macchio!!! BWAAhahaaahaa!! Do you think his mom will be cheering from the sidelines... "Come On, Daniel... be strong, be strong!"

    Still chuckling...

Enjoy it. I don't actually have T.V. but I might want to see if I can catch a few of these episodes. Do you know anywhere they rebroadcast these? Or show hightlights?

    Cheers.

  1. ya know I love the show, but this season seems like 'dancing with the b-stars'

Maybe it is easier to attract those who are not getting a lot of work. and that 'radio personality' guy...NEVER heard of him!

  1. don't know how long he will last, but I'm going to enjoy Sugar Ray while he's in it. He certainly had some great footwork at one time.

DVRing is good. I record my favorite shows and watch them in the early mornings on the weekend while the rest of the house is asleep. We've been checking out the Military channel and the shows on WWII in color. Some interesting stuff there that we never knew before. And lots of stuff on the History channel gets checked out too.

I dined with SR Leonard in the Poconos. Or should I saw we were in the same diningroom? Regardless...It should be a fun season because The Situation isn't on it!

    Bwhahahhahaha!
