Ralph Macchio earned the highest score for his Foxtrot with Karina Smirnoff. I was pleasantly surprised, but maybe I shouldn't have been. I recall a scene from the second Karate Kid movie.
Daniel Larusso has a little bit of dance history.
Tonight our couples get one more dance for our votes, either Quickstep or Jive. Then tomorrow night we'll have results. The dancing on last Monday's premier was excellent. Let's see if we can get a repeat performance.
And let me congratulate 8 seed Butler, 11 seed Virginia Commonwealth, 3 seed Connecticut, and 4 seed Kentucky for winning their respective regional finals Saturday and Sunday to advance to the Final Four. Not a #1 seed in the bunch.
Next Saturday, VCU will play Butler and Kentucky will play UConn. The winners will advance to the championship game a week from tonight.
Interestingly enough, there's not a number 2 seed in the final four either. Kansas might have won, if they could have hit as basket. They were as cold as any team I have ever seen. At this point, I see Butler and Kentucky in the final game. These are two teams that just seem to find a way to win.
Driller: There was a lot of debate before the tournament about the top 2 lines. Any of the top 8 could have gone in as either a 1 or a 2 seed. It doesn't surprise me that each of them was vulnerable to the right...or wrong...match up.
Akelamalu: Indeed!
Charles: It's one of my favorite scenes.
Gwen: He seems to have kept himself in shape. Thanks for stopping by.
Jamie: Yeah...I think anyone would have to prove to me that they had marked down Butler and VCU for the Final Four before the tournament started.
V: We'll catch MOTC this weekend.
Marilyn: The first one will always be the best for me. The second one was enjoyable. They just got silly after that.
GGG: Good news! You haven't missed it. The games are this coming Saturday, with the championship on Monday.
