Welcome to March!  We're not quite to the madness yet, but it's just around the corner.  Next week is Championship Week.  Selection Sunday is 13 March.  And the NCAA Tournament begins on 15 March with the first two of the extra 4 games added for the expanded 68 team field.

Sweet!

Across the country this week, seniors will be playing their final regular season games on their home courts.  I honor them all for their dedication and commitment.  In particular, I appreciate the seniors from the programs I follow.

  • From Duke - Nolan Smith, Kyle Singler, and Casey Peters
  • From Notre Dame - Tyrone Nash, Tom Kopko, Scott Martin, Tim Abromaitis, Ben Hansbrough, and Carleton Scott
  • From Butler - Shawn Vanzant, Zach Hahn, Alex Anglin, Grant Leiendecker, and Matt Howard
  • From Indiana - Jeremiah Rivers

Congratulations and best of luck to all!

Ok, I'm such a girl. This is my favorite sports time of the year. Hands down. Seriously. I always print out the brackets and choose the teams.

btw, I know nothing about college basketball, but I do pretty well with my choices.

March heralds Spring - that's got to be good. :)

  1. Already? Wow. I'm still in mourning over the end of football season though.

  1. MADNESS and BASEBALL...all is right with the world once again

  1. March Madness is simple for me. I root for Duke until they are gone and then look for another team.

  1. Oh and with Spring Training. I root for the Dodgers until they break my heart one more time.

Life is nice when it is simple.

The madness affects me personally - because I work a stone's throw from one of the madness venues. The traffic gets nuts. But so does the action on the courts!
