Last Thursday was Top 20 Reveal Night.  We decided to watch and enjoy the dancing rather than to recap.  It was a good choice.  The dancing was fantastic.  It's tough to know how the dancers will react when they start moving out of their own styles, but I can tell you that this is a stunningly talented group.

Here they are:

Jordan Casanova, 18 year old Jazz dancer from Chino Hills CA

Alexander Fost, 21 year old Contemporary dancer from Alhambra CA

Tadd Gadduang, 25 year old Hip Hop dancer from Salt Lake City UT

Marko Germar, 22 year old Jazz dancer from Dededo Guam

Ricky Jaime, 19 year old Contemporary dancer from Miami FL

Wadi Jones, 24 year old Break dancer from Ossining NY

Mitchell Kelly, 20 year old Contemporary dancer from Atlanta GA

Chris Koehl, 21 year old Hip Hop dancer from Garland TX

Caitlynn Lawson, 18 year old Contemporary dancer from Moses Lake WA

Jess LeProtto, 18 year old Broadway dancer from Little Falls NY

Iveta Lukosiute, 30 year old Ballroom dancer from Klaipeda, Lithuania

Miranda Maleski, 19 year old Contemporary dancer from Pittsburgh PA

Sasha Mallory, 23 year old Contemporary dancer from Bakersfield CA

Melanie Moore, 19 year old Contemporary dancer from New York NY

Missy Morelli, 20 year old Jazz dancer from Studio City CA

Clarice Ordaz, 19 year old Jazz dancer from Whittier CA

Ryan Ramirez, 19 year old Contemporary dancer from Morgan Hill CA

Ashley Rich, 22 year old Contemporary dancer from Antioch CA

Robert Taylor Jr, 31 year old Hip Hop dancer from Brooklyn NY

Nick Young, 19 year old Tap dancer from Franklin WI

And here are some links to the performances from Thursday's show, so you can get a taste of the dancing we can expect to see this season.

Ricky, Miranda, Melanie, and Sasha dance Contemporary, choreographed by Stacey Tookey.

Chris, Tadd, Wadi, and Robert dance Hip Hop, choreographed by Dave Scott.

Iveta dances Ballroom with All Star Pasha Kovalev, choreographed by Jason Gilkinson.

Jordan, Missy, Clarice, and Marko dance Jazz, choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.

Nick and Jess dance Broadway/Tap, choreographed by Christopher Scott.

Mitchell, Caitlynn, Ashley, Alexander, and Ryan dance Contemporary, choreographed by Travis Wall.

The Top 10 guys, choreographed by Christopher Scott.  The Top 10 gals, choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.  And the Top 20, choreographed by Tyce Diorio.

Now the cool thing about this season is that we're going back to a full Top 20 and the dancers will pair off to dance until we're down to our Top 10.  Then the All Stars will return.

Seriously, if you haven't watched this show before and are looking for some outstanding summer entertainment, check these kids out.

  1. The dancing was stunning, and I'm looking forward to see what they can do once down to the final 10

  1. I LOVED the dances this past week. This is going to be a great season for dancing, but a heart breaker for those who have to go home each week. There are some very talented young people in this group, and a couple of excellent veterans. Let the dancing begin.
