Five on Friday Set 78

We're just back from our trip to Arizona to visit the folks.  I enjoyed seeing them, but DAMN IT WAS HOT!

Harry Potter was excellent.  We saw it twice.  Since we're still technically on vacation, perhaps we'll go see it one more time in the theater.  I can report that the series came to a very satisfying end with this final film.  I'll likely provide a more complete review sometime next week.

For Set 78 I thought I'd share some songs with either a town or a landmark or the state of Arizona in the lyrics.  Happy Friday!

  1. Welcome home, Travis - man, I don't want to know how hot it was in Arizona...

I also LOVED the Harry Potter finale. So glad you did, too. (Even if there was a come-out-of-nowhere shot during the battle that had The Creatures That Shall Not Be Named. I thought, "Woops...Travis...")

I'm featuring urban fantasy writer A.C. Ruttan as my guest blogger today - she's spinning the tunes that provided inspiration for her latest release.

  1. I've Never Been to Spain and Take It Easy are two of my all time favorite songs. WElcome home and thanks for the great set.

The player is not showing for me today at work. Will check back later.

Welcome back from the hot southwest and greeting from the hot northeast!

Great song choices for today, I'm with Jamie on the all-time favorite choices.

I caved in to Amanda's demands for this week's set on my blog but it's good music - honest!

I created an Arizona playlist a while back - right after I got back from a trip there in May - but I never posted it. I'm hanging on to it now just in case I'm ever brain-blocked for a FoF.

  1. I want to play today. Having trouble with the Playlist site. So I'm going to post YouTube links instead. But Five on Friday is going to be into the evening.

Not a Harry Potter fan myself - just never got started with it - but your list is awesome anyway.

So glad you had a wonderful vacation!!

  1. Glad you had a great vacation. Mine next one is coming up at the end of next month. Great choice of songs. I've always liked "Never Been To Spain" even though it's not one of the first songs you think of when you think of 3 Dog Night. And I've actually posted my own five on friday.

I'm one of those rare breed people who have not seen the first Harry Potter movie. Not for any particular reason...perhaps I'll see watch some of them soon! Can't view your tunes since I'm at my work computer, but I know they are most likely good picks as they alwways are!

    Peace!
