Five on Friday Set 85

Posted: Friday, September 09, 2011 by Travis Cody in

Edit:  I see that the player is taking the day off.  If you'd still like to listen to the tunes Pam selected on youtube or something, they are:

If I Were Your Woman, Gladys Knight & the Pips
Rainy Night in Georgia, Brook Benton
I'll Take You There, The Staple Singers
Sweet Thing, Rufus & Chaka Khan
Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, The Platters

Happy Friday!

Pam asked if she could do the Set this week.  Of course you know I said yes because she is quite the programmer.

  1. I shall do that very thing - tonight when I get home. I have to do that anyway - the Playlist player stopped working for me awhile ago.

  1. Linda says:

As always, Pam has chosen a fantastic set of songs. Even if the player doesn't work, the player in my head does when I see a song that I haven't heard in awhile!

I'm actually back to joining in this week but the group I wanted didn't have their songs on Playlist so I've posted videos. Hope you like them!

  1. a great set of songs I'll just punch them up on you tube.
I went with the Villiage people this week.

  1. Travis, since the player does not want to co-operate I created a special 5 on Friday just for you!

Pam made quite a good list. Love most of those choices, but the Staple Singers are really one of my favorites.

  1. Jamie says:

Rainy Night In George may be one of the prettiest songs every written. Really good group. Big high 5 for Pam's selections.

  1. Great set of songs. Thanks very much to Pam!
