Beware the double digits!

Last year, 6 double digit seeds won games in the round of 64.  Four of them advanced to the round of 16.  One of them, VCU, made it all the way to the Final Four.  Last year's championship game featured 8 seed Butler.

This year, 9 double digit seeds won in the round of 64.  That included a couple of 15s and a 13.  Usually a 12 will beat a 5, and this year we had 2 of those.  But only 3 of the double digits will advance to the round of 16.  The lowest seed remaining otherwise is a 7.

Beware the double digits.

Murgatroyd... that's such a fun name, isn't it?

I may have to watch this year... Gladys Knight looks fabulous! Wow! Martina Navratilova is another blast from the past and Melissa Gilbert? 3 good reasons for me to tune in and check them out.

  1. Saw this on twitter and immediately knew you had a kindred spirit in England:
