Hey...it's the Totient Set!

For those of you who don't know what I mean by that, scroll down to my totient meme.

Alas, my Set this week is not totient themed.  Rather, Set 111 is inspired by the group Simple Minds.  I happened to hear them on the radio the other day when I went to get my breakfast sammich, and I thought we might journey back to 1985 for our tunes.

Enjoy!

Alive and Kicking, written by Jim Kerr/Charlie Burchill/Mick MacNeil, released by Simple Minds

Crazy for You, written by John Bettis/Jon Lind, released by Madonna

Head Over Heels, written by Roland Orzabal/Curt Smith, released by Tears For Fears

Would I Lie to You, written by Annie Lennox/David Stewart, released by The Eurythmics

Walking On Sunshine, written by Kimberley Rew, released by Katrina and the Waves

If you'd like to join in, here are the guidelines:
1. Grab the banner, make your post title Five on Friday, and be sure to link back here.
2. Go to Playlist.com to make your Set of five songs. You may choose a particular theme to share with us, or post random tunes if that's your vibe for the day. You can simply post the Set, or you can add a little summary about what you are sharing.
2a. Don't feel restricted by the tracks listed on Playlist.com. And don't be discouraged if the Embed code won't work. You're welcome to use any type of media to share your Sets.
3. Be sure to sign Mr Linky so everyone can visit your Set.
4. No tags, but feel free to invite your friends to play along if they need a post topic on a Friday.

Go forth and enjoy music!

Great set and songs that I all remember quite fondly from that particular year. Funny how it's easy to remember 1985 so much easier than it is for me to remember 1995 which I have no recollection of at all!

  1. Thanks for forcing me to look up the Wiki on Totient Numbers Sheesh!!

Thank goodness I had the music to sooth my poor befuddled brain.

  1. Sublime! This is all Me Music - the joy of my adult life starting at last in my mid-20's when I moved to Toronto. All of these tunes make me happy!

  1. Hummm, I don't think you had me in mind when you constructed this list. :)

  1. I have a love/hate relationship with the music of the 80's.. In some ways I see it as a dark time and then there are beams of light . This set is well done indeed.

  1. What a WONDERFUL set!!! Each of these brought back such good memories. And also, thank you for reminding me it's Friday. That means that after today I don't have to be home along for the rest of my recover. Yay! :)
