Had a classic radio station playing last weekend.  Heard the voice.  Made me smile.

Oh boy! Isn't it amazing how a song can transport you right back in time! Where are my go-go boots and hip huggers?!

MWM had a 'thing' for Pet when he was young. :0

I only knew Downtown. What a hit! What an ideal, too - when you listen to the words. You would not want to be downtown Cleveland at night. Heehee :)

  1. Still remember the Petula Clark / Harry Belafonte "scandal" of the 1960s. She is a wonderful singer and despite being dated one of my favorite musicals remains "Finian's Rainbow".

  1. Most excellent set Sir. Petula Clark... yup she could belt a tune

  1. I loved Petula Clark. So many songs and so many memories.

  1. I kind of like "downtown"

  1. I'm catching up on last week's sets as well - this was a lovely springtime set. Downtown is definitely my favorite. I SO love the Big City downtown vibe.
