Today, these

I'm working on hyperbole.

Let me rephrase.

I'm trying to eliminate hyperbole from my speech habits.  It's tough.  Something is always trying to be "the best ever" or "the funniest ever" or "the most amazing thing I've ever".

Yada yada yada.

So I'm trying not to do that anymore.

OK?

OK.

So, now, if you ask me...if you force me...if you told me all I've seen on So You Think You Can Dance is all I'll ever see...if you told me there was no more SYTYCD show...and if you said there could only be two performances left to watch forever and ever until the end of time...

Today, these two group dances are the best ever...the most amazing ever...my favorites of all time.

OK?

OK.

From Season 3, Top 14 group to You Can't Stop the Beat, choreographed by Adam Shankman.  The videos for this particular routine have a tendency to disappear, so if it's gone by the time you get here, click here.

From Season 2, Top 10 group to Ramalama, choreographed by Wade Robson.  If the video doesn't play, click here.

Well dangit.  Now I have to start all over from the beginning with my hyperbole thing.

Tune in next week...it's Vegas call backs for 181 hopefuls as we look for our Top 20 dancers for Season 9.

Later gang!

I like hyperbole. For one thing, it's a fun word to say, isn't it?

    Hy-PURR-ba-lee.

    See? Fun!

And then there's poetry... Where would we be without hyperbole?

And what would the politicians have to say if hyperbole and rhetoric were eliminated from all speech? Epic Fail.

Oh, wait. They already did epic fail.

Hyperbole is a great word - use it at will!

  1. Barb: Now I hadn't thought of it like that!

Akelamalu: It is a great word, but isn't there always a new best ever coming along?

Trav: I cracked up at the start of your post, and continued laughing as I read the comments from those who had posted thus far. It made my day, and I haven't even seen the dancing videos yet. Laughter is the best (ever) medicine. You say hyperbole, I say parabolae (the plural of parabola . . . sounds the lost relative of hyperbole, but is the object of one of the most boring definitions in mathemstics . . . of all time. ;-) Todya is my Friday. Thanks for making it fun!

  1. Some very good dancers so far...
