Get out of the dang road!

Sometimes the excitement of the moment catches hold of you and you want to get that great picture of 100 professional cyclists roaring down the road in the first stage of the Tour de France.  OK.

But get out of the dang road!!!!!

Stoopid fan!

During the first stage today, some fan was on the wrong side of the barrier trying to take a photograph of the peleton.  He was right in the way.  Although the first 20 riders or so were able to dodge around him, that caused a ripple effect which ultimately caused about 15 riders to crash.

Then a bunch of riders behind had to scramble to catch up to the peleton, which took off like a rocket due to the adrenalin rush of such an unexpected thing with only about 25 miles left to race.

Sheesh!

If you ever go to watch a bike race, please remember to stay back away from the course.  It doesn't take much to knock these guys down at the speeds they travel.

Don't cause an accident like the bonehead fan did today.

What an idiot! And who let him do that? Ayayayayayayay!

  1. can't believe he did that. well, maybe i can... as a photographer wanting that great shot i can see how the moment took him. still, i do try to respect boundaries. and to cause an accident like he did wasn't cool. he just caused so many to fall behind. hope all is well. have a great night~

  1. Wow. he'll be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

  1. Whoa. I hadn't heard. That's awful!
He might as well pack his camera and go home. Permanently.

I hadn't heard that news. Kinda like standing on the track to get a good pic of the train, eh?

Gee, I sure hope he got a good shot while causing so much trouble. Just seems that some people don't have the common sense that God gave an ant. I hope that no one was seriously injured.
