I don't know why, but 1969 felt right for Set 143.

Happy weekend gang!

We are not going to deal with the violence in our communities, our homes, and our nation, until we learn to deal with the basic ethic of how we resolve our disputes and to place an emphasis on peace in the way we relate to one another.  Marian Wright Edelman

Reason 22: Because a young man named Matthew Shepard died on 12 October 1998 because he was gay and the two men who beat him and left him tied to a fence to die in the Wyoming countryside didn't like that. I blog for Peace in memory of people like Matthew.

We speak on one subject with one voice on one day. Won't you join us? You have a voice; how will you use it? Check in at Mimi Writes or at the Peace Globe Gallery for all the details you need to make your Peace Globe and join your voice to the movement.

Join us. You know you want to.

I believe that words have power, so this matters.

O,h, a very good year. Although some songs I really didn't care for all that much.

The Worst That Could Happen is not one of them! I actually dated 2 guys with the same first name around that time so I really related to this song. I ended up marrying one of them... in hind sight, the wrong one. Bugger.

    Have a great weekend, Trav!

  1. Now that was a great stroll through some oldies I hadn't heard in a while. Favorite: Dizzy.

  1. Very superstitious, man.

  1. I'll be back over the weekend for a proper listen, but already Good Morning Starshine is looking like my favorite.
